A few scattered stories and some truth (by Average Jane)
December | 2013 | Just a little thinking...
https://averagejane38.wordpress.com/2013/12
Just a little thinking. The games children play. A loss and a detachment. I just called to say. The wings on your back. The man who stayed awake. Children’s Stories for Adults (13). Not so much fiction (5). Just a little thinking…. Tea with the birds. The little fluffy cat. Visitors to my site. A loss and a detachment. She listened carefully to the voice at the other end of the line. Have you understood, the voice asked repeatedly, worriedly. Yes, yes, she nodded into the phone. December 17, 2013.

The games children play. And so they sat down. The man and the woman. Like children playing at a new game. The pieces all laid out on the fresh dewy grass. The sun shining in a bright blue sky. June 1, 2014.

When someone asked her what she did. She said she collected days. Parthajeet Das's blog: The river as big as the sea
http://maybemay.blogspot.com/2014/08/the-river-as-big-as-sea.html
First draft of my writings. Wednesday, 6 August 2014. The river as big as the sea. It is hard to say. What has become what. And who is flowing into whom. Has become as big as the sea. The calmness of the sea. Is there in the river now. Like a glowing sheet of silver. It lays along the green banks of villages,. Brown roads of the city. And black rocks of the hills. The sea it seems has become restless. Years of mingling,. Of listening to the grief and joys. Brought along from the hills and. I do read them.
Parthajeet Das's blog: Homecoming!
http://maybemay.blogspot.com/2014/01/homecoming.html
First draft of my writings. Tuesday, 7 January 2014. She had come back home, after a long time. He hesitated to ask her to spend some time together at his place after they met a common friend's place for a party. There was an apprehension of being misunderstood, of being said 'No', which would have sounded like 'No! How did you even think about that'. But he risked being hurt and refused as he did often. They were silent, they were both thinking. Priyaa" came the reply and more caresses on the raised neck.

First draft of my writings. Wednesday, 20 March 2013. Unseen-Unheard Farmer protests in Jantar Mantar - New Delhi. We are cynical, disparaging many times at the motley crowd of protesters assembling at Jantar Mantar or Ramlila Maidan for various reasons thinking aloud. What will they achieve? What a nuisance to the traffic/public'. Attempt at political mileage'. But the most elitist being. Do these people even know why are t. Or "they would have been just handed a few notes or cheap liquor". If the farme...

First draft of my writings. Monday, 16 December 2013. My school is on the bank of river Daya. My school is on the bank of river Daya,. The river of kindness;. The river that was kind to mighty king Ashoka,. And made him the ruler of hearts of men through Dharma. The teacher told us so in the history class,. Just before the rains came in. This river goes up all the way to the Lake Chilika,. Which I wish to see through my eyes;. The words of Utkalamani* ring in my ears,. Just before the rains came in.

Random Thoughts of a Great-Granny Grandma: November 2013
http://greatgrannygrandma.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Random Thoughts of a Great-Granny Grandma. This was my first blog. I started it almost seven years ago with the hopes that sharing my experiences would brighten someone's day, or perhaps offer encouragement to someone who needed it. I enjoyed making and following new friends. Then along came Facebook, and I got so caught up in that, my blog posts became fewer and further apart. I increasingly found myself wondering why I was even keeping it alive, as a little voice in my head whispered, ". I know I'm sma...

Random Thoughts of a Great-Granny Grandma: I'M GLAD I WAITED
http://greatgrannygrandma.blogspot.com/2012/10/im-glad-i-waited.html
Random Thoughts of a Great-Granny Grandma. I'M GLAD I WAITED. On Mother's Day, my daughter gave me a seedling tomato plant that I nurtured on my windowsill for several weeks. When it seemed big enough and strong enough, I transplanted it and moved it to my balcony, where it really took off. By July, the leaves were looking thick and healthy, and there were many flowers on it, but none of the flowers turned into tomatoes. They just bloomed, and then dried up and died. And then a miracle! 10/14/12, 11:34 AM.

Recipes, pets, rock music, geeky games and everything else that interests me. February 08, 2018. Average Jane Decorates Her Porch. There was cinnamon-infused grapevine wreath on my back kitchen door until earlier this week when its hook gave way. The cinnamon smell had dissipated a long time ago, so no big deal. I put it outside for a bit while I was trying to decide what to do with it, and today it occurred to me that I could hang it on the nail above my porch. But my hand is bleeding now. This bag was ...

Sharing from the morning mail. The USDA Is Making A Mistake. Right now, the USDA is accepting public comments on a plan that would allow farmers to plant 2,4-D (also known as Agent Orange) resistant corn and soy wherever they choose. If passed, this plan could completely disrupt regular crops and lead to a greater increase in the use of dangerous chemicals in our food. Furthermore, we don’t know what kind of impact these crops could have on future generations. To: United States Department of Agriculture.
