A View from St Albans: March 2012

http://www.aviewfromstalbans.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html

A View from St Albans. Wednesday, 14 March 2012. Matthew was born and, after a time with Mary and John, he was taken away. Certain tests were done to try to establish cause of death, but the parents were reluctant to add the trauma of a full post mortem examination to what had already happened to them and their son. So, Matthew was collected by a local Funeral Director and this was where I came in. This is what I said:. I then read the passage from Psalm 139, most of which didn't seem as relevant. Th...

http://www.aviewfromstalbans.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

A View from St Albans. Monday, 30 April 2012. As a supporter of a football team who rarely achieve any success, I find it hard to sympathise with those who follow clubs at the top of the Premier League. Their games are televised every week, they have the best players and yet still their supporters complain that they haven’t won any silverware for the past three years. Wonder n. – a feeling of surprise and admiration caused by something beautiful, unexpected, or unfamiliar. Wondering n. - an open, curious, exploratory thought. Thursday, 20 March 2008. I was particularly moved by several of the stations. 'Jesus is anointed at Bethany' involved spraying yourself with some perfume and asking the question, 'What do I want to be remembered for? Mk 149. Wonder n. – a feeling of surprise and admiration caused by something beautiful, unexpected, or unfamiliar. Wondering n. - an open, curious, exploratory thought. Saturday, 26 November 2011. What is it about Advent that seems to let loose a deluge of creativity? Or is it because there is something about Advent which is essentially generative? Repeatedly people say that Advent is their favourite season, and I'm one of them! I came across this brilliant video clip on Godspace. Our challenge, as we begin the ...
