A Year in Iowa: The 2012 elections
http://ayeariniowa.blogspot.com/2008/11/2012-elections.html
A Year in Iowa. A personal journal of a retired academic's year in Iowa. Tuesday, November 25, 2008. I just saw this remarkably jarring image in a post that talked about the "Election Horror Picture Show" - so (of course) I had to share it with the three of you who read my blog. Doin' the time warp again. I'm not sure what scares me more; the image itself, or that you recognize the image (the original image, that is). *grin*. November 25, 2008 at 10:10 PM. A Year in Iowa. A personal journal of a retired academic's year in Iowa. Thursday, January 1, 2009. But the postings aren't, not quite yet. December was very busy, with lots of family and travel. So I'm behind - almost exactly a month behind - on my reporting. I'll keep the blog alive for a few more days until I can get caught up for everyone on December. In the meantime, wishing everyone a great new year . Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

A Year in Iowa. A personal journal of a retired academic's year in Iowa. Friday, November 28, 2008. Shopping - is there a more dreaded word in the English language? As in "Holiday Shopping"? 160;But sometimes one must bite the bullet and take one for the economy, so we went out shopping at 5:15 this morning to get something that had a limited number of items at the store. Even at a technology store the line was long, but we did manage to get what we were looking for. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

I'm a Word Geek: February 2009
http://p-robspot.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
I'm a Word Geek. Wednesday, February 25, 2009. I need to buy a CD. In a few weeks, I'm making an international trip, and I need your help. One of my personal traditions is to buy a CD before a trip overseas and listen to it a LOT during that experience. Then, once I'm home, I've made an emotional/memory attachment between that CD and that trip. Blogging from the NYMC. Apparently I'm part of the "official" group of bloggers. From this weekend's National Youth Ministry Conference. In any case, I'll try to ...

A Year In India | Adventures of an expat in India
A Year In India. Adventures of an expat in India. April 30, 2009. I got a phone call this morning from our driver. Sir, are the children at home? I caught a small cobra over here at SAP and I want to bring it over there to show them. I suspected another harmless rat snake, because last week he brought a rat snake from the office campus. It was not. Pic of the Day – The Monster. April 28, 2009. Pic of the Day – Oh the Irony. April 27, 2009. This sign is across the street from the ITPL. April 17, 2009.

A Year in Italy
A Year in Italy. July 5, 2011. The past couple of weeks have been quite a whirlwind. The last day of school came and went, some goodbyes were said and then we headed off for our last trip of this year. We started in Venice for a weekend where we spent one day “adventure squading” and then the second day with Nate and Kim who had just flown in. Adam and Michael with their new kazoos. Yes. the man did turn all the way around to stare at them. After that we went back down into Italy and spent a day in Manto...
