Museum Day in Izu | Lost in Translation

https://ayearinjapanblog.wordpress.com/2014/07/28/museum-day-in-izu

Nagomi Visit | Lost in Translation

https://ayearinjapanblog.wordpress.com/2014/07/28/nagomi-visit

A Year in Japan. July 28, 2014. When I mentioned I was doing a ‘Nagomi Visit’, most people reacted with ‘a what visit? My Nagomi Visit host family was based in an apartment close to Yokohama Station. I met the daughter at the station, who had studied and lived in Australia, so spoke perfect English! We enjoyed delicious Japanese food including miso soup, Japanese-style omelette and fried tofu and yam. We also made our own sushi rolls with a variety of fillings including avocado, raw tuna and salmon&#...

In the meantime, wishing everyone a great new year . Tuesday, December 2, 2008. Sunday, November 30, 2008. First snow of the season. But sometimes w...

A Year in Italy

A Year in Italy. July 5, 2011. The past couple of weeks have been quite a whirlwind. Yes. the man did turn all the way around to stare at them. After that we went back down into Italy and spent a day in Manto...

July 25, 2012. I’ve been gone for 2 months. I’m so sorry that I haven’t been keeping my blog updated. The internet here isn’t too great and it takes a very long time to load anything… But here is a little update. We have been visiting different churches every week and I’m getting to meet a lot of people. Everyone is so friendly and loving :). So please pray that God leads us as we make the trip to Manaus. I’ll be posting lots of pictures as soon as I can! Much love, Olivia. June 20, 2012. June 20, 2012.

A Year in Kampala

A Year in Kampala. Medical “Evacuation”. Unfortunately, while traveling to Lake Mburo in February, I became quite sick with a fever and mysterious skin infection. It came on suddenly during the first night of my trip. First, I had a low-grade fever, and by Saturday evening, I was feeling pretty terrible. Realizing that something was not right, I decided to return to Kampala early the following day. View of Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi. View of Room in Hospital. The day I was admitted, my roommate, Alie, ...
