Eastons in the Mid-West: Birthday at Legoland
http://mcsheaston.blogspot.com/2015/04/birthday-at-legoland.html
Eastons in the Mid-West. Friday, April 10, 2015. Spring break always happens right around Dallin's birthday. So this year we decided to take a short weekend trip to Chicago to take the boys to the Legoland Discovery Center. On the drive up there, Dallin got to open his first birthday present from his Easton grandparents: The Lego Movie. They were silently glued to the screen for the rest of trip. There was a replica of the Chicago skyline made from Legos. And a rainforest filled with lego animals. This i...

The Pearl in the Oyster: Photos
http://www.thecorbinstory.com/p/photos.html
Heart defects: learn more. Pulse ox: learn more. The photos below have watermarks because (sadly) there exist a-holes out there that like to steal photos of sick babies and slap a "share and this baby gets $1 for a heart transplant" caption under it. Which, by the way. Is ALWAYS false. If you ever see that kind of photo, whether it's an adult, baby, dog, or what have you, with a caption of "FB will donate $1.etc", they are never, ever, ever,. Here he is three days old. My favorite picture of him. Mountai...

The Pearl in the Oyster: June 2014

Heart defects: learn more. Pulse ox: learn more. More then a holiday. Father's Day has many reasons to different people. It's a day to thank you father for being there, being supportive, loving, and for teaching you those lessons that do not come easy for a parent. For loss parents it has a whole new meaning. A day to celebrate being a dad.but what if your child isn't with you anymore? It's a very painful reminder of what you have lost and what you will never be able to celebrate with that child anymore.

Eastons in the Mid-West: October 2014
http://mcsheaston.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Eastons in the Mid-West. Wednesday, October 22, 2014. There were farm animals that we got to pet in the barn. Actors are dressed up in period clothing and they teach you about life in Indiana in the 19th century as you explore the "town.". The kids sat listening to this blacksmith talk about his job for like 10 minutes. I was amazed at their attention span. The kids got to dress up and do chores. Connor in the apron/skirt is cracking me up. (It was his choice to wear it.). I love these 3 cuties. There ar...

Heart defects: learn more. Pulse ox: learn more. I hope you have found this site because you are taking part in our second annual photo a day challenge! If you have never done one before, don't worry, it's easy. Each day has a corresponding word. You simply take a photo of anything that the word inspires you to think of. The Pearl in the Oyster: December 2014
http://www.thecorbinstory.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Heart defects: learn more. Pulse ox: learn more. I seriously feel like a first time mom. It is the strangest feeling. Even though my son will be 5 (what? In two months, it's like he was here the whole time; like he's always been a part of our family and this is my first time having a newborn. Weird I know, but I have a theory. So Hubby and I were a new couple when Babygirl arrived. Well that's a good thing" you say. There was no "well, we hear something wrong in her heart" or "we have scheduled you for a...

Healing: March 2012
http://life-afterloss.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Pulse Ox and Heart Defects. Wednesday, March 21, 2012. Hello Mr. Senator. Yesterday I got a phone call from a very important person, a person that has helped us save lives across our state, and whom I owe a giant debt of gratitude. Senator Ron Miller . Yet, he called to thank me. The way he answered the phone made me giggle:. Hello, this is Senator Ron Miller". My jaw dropped, my eyes got big, then I collected myself and said hello. I just giggled, and said "Yeah, I heard! I said "I will. I'm not worried...

Notes from the Holler: Eternity
http://notesfromtheholler.blogspot.com/2010/08/eternity.html
August 19, 2010. I was reminded again today that eternity is just a heartbeat away for any of us. We met Wyatt and his family at the Wheels for Williams. Although I have a link to the " good news. About eternity on the side of the blog, I would be remiss and unloving if I didn't ask you directly: Do you know for certain that you will go to heaven when you die? There are no "if I dies"- only "when." And, despite what you may have heard, eternity. Instead of obeying God, Adam and Eve sinned. They disob...

Eastons in the Mid-West: Star Wars Birthday
http://mcsheaston.blogspot.com/2014/03/star-wars-birthday.html
Eastons in the Mid-West. Monday, March 31, 2014. Dallin loves Star Wars. He wears his Darth Vader shirt all the time and is always asking to watch the movies ("A New Hope" and "Return of the Jedi" are his favorites). So I was not surprised when I started planning for Dallin's fifth birthday and he asked for a Darth Vader cake. I went beyond the cake and planned a whole Star Wars themed birthday party for him. The inspiration for the invitation and a lot of the other party ideas came from Homemade by Jill.

Eastons in the Mid-West: Rolly Boy
http://mcsheaston.blogspot.com/2009/09/rolly-boy.html
Eastons in the Mid-West. Monday, September 21, 2009. I finally got a video of Dallin rolling over! Of course, babies never do things the way you plan, so there is a little "surprise" at the end. It's actually kinda funny, but I do have to warn you that if you get squeamish about baby fluids, you might not want to watch this. For the rest of you, enjoy! Labels: my growing baby. I love that his very proud of myself look that he has on his face changes instantly to dangit! I hate it when that happens!
