Eastons in the Mid-West: April 2015
http://mcsheaston.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Eastons in the Mid-West. Friday, April 10, 2015. Spring break always happens right around Dallin's birthday. So this year we decided to take a short weekend trip to Chicago to take the boys to the Legoland Discovery Center. On the drive up there, Dallin got to open his first birthday present from his Easton grandparents: The Lego Movie. They were silently glued to the screen for the rest of trip. There was a replica of the Chicago skyline made from Legos. And a rainforest filled with lego animals. This i...

Eastons in the Mid-West: October 2014
http://mcsheaston.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Eastons in the Mid-West. Wednesday, October 22, 2014. There were farm animals that we got to pet in the barn. Actors are dressed up in period clothing and they teach you about life in Indiana in the 19th century as you explore the "town.". The kids sat listening to this blacksmith talk about his job for like 10 minutes. I was amazed at their attention span. The kids got to dress up and do chores. Connor in the apron/skirt is cracking me up. (It was his choice to wear it.). I love these 3 cuties. There ar...

Adventures with Baby J and Bean: "I need a case manager."
http://www.babyjandbean.com/2011/10/i-need-case-manager.html
Adventures with Baby J and Bean. And our perfectly imperfect life. What is Williams Syndrome? Sunday, October 2, 2011. I need a case manager.". So many times, I've heard parents of kids with special and complex medical needs say that they need a case manager. I can certainly relate. The good news is that there's resources out there for parents like us. Shortly after receiving his Williams syndrome (WS) diagnosis, his pediatrician referred us to the Diagnostic Referral Group. At Children's Hospital of Phi...

Adventures with Baby J and Bean: Hanging with Baby J

Adventures with Baby J and Bean. And our perfectly imperfect life. What is Williams Syndrome? Wednesday, November 2, 2011. Hanging with Baby J. I've been making an extra effort lately to spend as much one-on-one time with Baby J as possible. He had been showing signs of jealousy towards his brother and the extra attention he receives in the form of therapy sessions (fun grown-up playmates that come to the house) and doctor appointments (fun outings - at least in Baby J's eyes). Today is a preschool day&#...

Adventures with Baby J and Bean: Joyful
http://www.babyjandbean.com/2011/04/joyful.html
Adventures with Baby J and Bean. And our perfectly imperfect life. What is Williams Syndrome? Tuesday, April 26, 2011. One of the hallmark characteristics of individuals affected by Williams Syndrome. WS) is a highly social personality. This past weekend, Bean was surrounded by family and friends and Husband and I had the opportunity to really see Bean's sweet personality in bloom. His desire for interpersonal relationships is so strong now that his feelings are obviously hurt if you don't greet him, hol...

Eastons in the Mid-West: Star Wars Birthday
http://mcsheaston.blogspot.com/2014/03/star-wars-birthday.html
Eastons in the Mid-West. Monday, March 31, 2014. Dallin loves Star Wars. He wears his Darth Vader shirt all the time and is always asking to watch the movies ("A New Hope" and "Return of the Jedi" are his favorites). So I was not surprised when I started planning for Dallin's fifth birthday and he asked for a Darth Vader cake. I went beyond the cake and planned a whole Star Wars themed birthday party for him. The inspiration for the invitation and a lot of the other party ideas came from Homemade by Jill.

Adventures with Baby J and Bean: Tomorrow is the day...
http://www.babyjandbean.com/2011/09/tomorrow-is-day.html
Adventures with Baby J and Bean. And our perfectly imperfect life. What is Williams Syndrome? Tuesday, September 6, 2011. Tomorrow is the day. Bean's dental surgery is tomorrow morning. I wrote about it before here. We have to be at the hospital at 7:45. I'm glad it's relatively early so that he won't be too hungry and grouchy. Bean's SVAS is mild at this point and he has done well with anesthesia in the past (pre- diagnosis), but his condition is progressive in nature and I am his mommy so I worry.

Eastons in the Mid-West: Rolly Boy
http://mcsheaston.blogspot.com/2009/09/rolly-boy.html
Eastons in the Mid-West. Monday, September 21, 2009. I finally got a video of Dallin rolling over! Of course, babies never do things the way you plan, so there is a little "surprise" at the end. It's actually kinda funny, but I do have to warn you that if you get squeamish about baby fluids, you might not want to watch this. For the rest of you, enjoy! Labels: my growing baby. I love that his very proud of myself look that he has on his face changes instantly to dangit! I hate it when that happens!

Eastons in the Mid-West: Dallin turns 6
http://mcsheaston.blogspot.com/2015/05/dallin-turns-6.html
Eastons in the Mid-West. Thursday, May 14, 2015. Dallin's birthday started with lots of balloons. While the boys were sleeping the night before, we blew up about 100 balloons and put them into their bedroom to surprise Dallin when he woke up on his birthday. We had visions of the room being entirely filled several feet deep. We were not even close to that but we at least covered most of the ground with balloons. Bennett likes them too. I realize he looks less than impressed in this picture. Since we had ...
