Fishy Business, an angler's journal. Welcome to my angling diary. Here I will tell you about my trials and tribulations as I embark on my quest for Barbel (and other species) on the Warwickshire Avon, Severn and Teme. Thursday, 18 June 2015. Slow start but blank saved. The first of many, I hope. Let me know how your opening session went, hopefully it was more eventful than mine. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Footsteps of an Angler: Scratching Amongst The Catkins
http://wwwfootstepsofanangler.blogspot.com/2013/04/scratching-amongst-catkins.html
Footsteps of an Angler. Thankyou for taking the time view my mutterings. We sit on cowslip banks, hear the birds sing, and possess ourselves in as much quietness as these silent silver streams, which we now see glide so quietly by us". Sunday, 28 April 2013. Scratching Amongst The Catkins. After having a few weeks away from the bank I decided it was time to go and have a dabble, I was unsure not only where to go but also what target species to angle for? Spot The Pole Float. The tip rod was baited with o...

Footsteps of an Angler. Thankyou for taking the time view my mutterings. We sit on cowslip banks, hear the birds sing, and possess ourselves in as much quietness as these silent silver streams, which we now see glide so quietly by us". Thursday, 7 February 2013. Earlier in the week my new pin arrived so I was gagging to get out and give it a go on the float and maggot. But as a back up the tip rod ventured out with me just in case the conditions were not suitable for the float attack. The first swim I ch...

paul4's blog: July 2012
http://paul4s-blog.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 22, 2012. Could Chris Froome win the tour? Maybe, but Bradley is one exceptional cyclist and that's a question that may never be answered. If he develops into team-leader potential, maybe we can see a second british winner, who knows? But it will be interesting to see if the team stays intact for next year's tour, and will Bradley still be there, and with an appetite for more? I for one look forward to it. I hope they set Cav up for a 4th win on the Champs thingy. Monday, July 16, 2012.

paul4's blog: September 2012
http://paul4s-blog.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 29, 2012. No time for blogging. It's been an interesting (for me at least) time recently. Olympics were great, especially two of my favourite sports track cycling and rowing, which were favourites of mine before we became particularlygood at it. Paralympics were great, an inspiration. Tour of Britain was good, Wiggins certainly grafts but had to pull out. Tiernan-Locke won and hopefully will join Team-Sky. World Road Championships were disappointing, but largely predictable. My new bl...

paul4's blog: October 2011

Sunday, October 30, 2011. 5-3 at the bridge, that's better :-). Wednesday, October 26, 2011. I purchased a Barbus Riverking centrepin reel. My idea (well my good mate Dave's idea really, that just moved on) is that as a (longterm) charity "event" and a bit of fun, I issue a challenge for anyone to catch a barbel using this reel and pass it on. It won't be confined to ABF members, just those whom you trust as we need to get it back eventually :). Some blah blah blah here. But it was so sad news when the h...
