A Flagon of Ale: February 2012
http://flagonofale.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
A Flagon of Ale. Beer drinking and brewing from the Twin Cities. Tuesday, February 7, 2012. This past weekend was Winterfest. The sister festival to fall's Autumn Brew Review. Where ABR is generally packed and outdoors, Winterfest is a bit more austere, hosted in the beautiful Minnesota History Center, and limited to 700 tickets. But it seems be generating a lot of interest and excitement and I haven't heard much backlash. Perhaps some will succumb to market forces etc, but so far, it seems, so good.

incognito explorer: November 2014
http://incognitoexplorer.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Seeking local treasures and the incomparably interesting. Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Terry, Jeff, Susan, and Frank in Rocky Mountain National Park in 2011. 2009 had been quite a year or so we thought then. I sprained my ankle; Anthony got the flu and could not come; Frank added 3 hours to his 10-hour journey by driving to the other Davis, WV; Todd had an inner ear affliction; and my grandfather died. 5 years later, we headed back to West Virginia for peak leaf weekend. Seeking local treasures and the incomparably interesting. Sunday, July 19, 2015. Lots of Lake Michigan. Lurie Gardens, Chicago, IL. In June, I visited Chicago and had a great trip! On Monday, my supposed departure day, I walked in the rain all over town. When my flight was canceled because of the terrible weather, I had a lovely, cool Tuesday evening to do even more walking and visiting favorite old haunts! Great company and a great meal.what could be better! Stormy Lake Michigan, Charlevoix, MI. El Somb...

Stuart Raymond | Friday Night Beer
https://fridaynightbeer.wordpress.com/author/dirtyspeed
Author Archive for Stuart Raymond. This is the end. But craft beer was like wine. I wasn’t drinking my hobby out of a paper bag under a bridge. I was at a brewery with six 3oz samples sniffing them and studying them. Alcoholics don’t appreciate liquor, they use it to get drunk, I wasn’t doing that. But I was. That was just another beer to me. I love lambics, the sours but the ABV? What was I going to do on vacations What was I going to do WHAT WAS I GOING TO DO! Own Todd Haug will have a special beer for...

incognito explorer: 2014 Retrospective
http://incognitoexplorer.blogspot.com/2015/01/2014-retrospective.html
Seeking local treasures and the incomparably interesting. Monday, January 19, 2015. Polly (April 1948 - October 8, 2014). Terry (April 1944 - October 12, 2014). After Jeff and Terry's wonderful hospitality in Chevy Chase, we moved in with Lowell through Air B&B for almost 3 months. We loved South Reston: the great outdoors, driving to work through the neighborhood, Flippin Pizza nights, Lowell's back yard. View from Mt. Ralph. To Arizona - the beautiful desert, especially, the desert botanic gardens.
