http://jj-anderson.blogspot.com/2015/06/bonapartes-gull-oare-marshes-kent.html
Monday, 22 June 2015. Bonaparte's Gull, Oare Marshes Kent. Limited time today, so opted for a trip to Oare Marshes in Kent. Leaving at 5am we arrived shortly after 6am. Yesterday saw the report of a Bonaparte's Gull on East flood, On arrival the tide was in so we parked up at the first pull in but after a quick scan of the flood we failed to locate the bird. A couple of distant record shots is all I could manage. On the way home we dropped into Elmley and drove the entrance track to the car park. Bir...

Saturday, 31 January 2015. Serin at Gunners Park Essex. Breaking news shortly before 9am this morning of two Serin again present at Gunners Park. Plans for a visit were hastily made. A quick phone call to Brian who was working and arrangements were quickly made to meet at 10.45. The 37 miles was much slower to cover at this time of day. Pulling in to the main car park off Campfield Road, the signs were not looking good. Birders were scattered about and were obviously trying to relocate the birds. From Gu...

If you get out there you might just see something". ESSEX sites and rarities. Sunday, 2 August 2015. On the reserve we saw five Stoat and two Mink running along the road which is not something you see everyday. Not sure Mink have any place on an RSPB reserve. Best bird on the reserve was a splendid Lesser Whitethroat tending it's young. A decent morning in Kent with just the M25 roadworks as a negative. Year list now 248. Cock of the Rock: Birding Thetford
http://cockoftherock.blogspot.com/2015/05/birding-thetford.html
Cock of the Rock. Thursday, May 7, 2015. The day before yesterday I drove down to Thetford in Norfolk to spend a day birding with my mate Paul Stancliffe. The plan was to drive down in the evening, drink beer and whisky that night, get up early the next day (! Clear and obvious sign indicating good place for butterflies. No butterflies in high winds, rain and general miserableness! Great big tower thing near Twyford Woods. Water tower? Something to do with the old airfield? Pied Wagtail.near Thetford!

Jim's Birding Blog: Titchwell RSPB, Norfolk
http://jj-anderson.blogspot.com/2015/06/titchwell-rspb-norfolk.html
Monday, 8 June 2015. Titchwell RSPB, Norfolk. We arrived at Titchwell early on Sunday morning to find the car park empty and for the first couple of hours we had the reserve to ourselves. As soon as I stepped out of the car a Cuckoo was heard calling, and Brian had already spotted a Barn Owl quartering the field running alongside the reserve. Shortly after leaving Island hide a Chinese Water Deer was spotted from West bank. A single Little Tern was also seen from here along with two Little ringed Plovers.
