Captain Ahab's Watery Tales. An on line logbook of watery wanderings. The Other 60 Miles of the BCN. Madurodam – the mini-land of the Dutch | A place exploring blog
https://placeexplorer.wordpress.com/2011/10/17/madurodam-the-mini-land-of-the-dutch
A place exploring blog. London Christmas Lights 2013. Only in London…. Shanghai a blend of tradition and modernity. Birmingham’s festivals – almost a photo essay →. Madurodam – the mini-land of the Dutch. Tilted houses of Amsterdam – these little houses are not entirely right and they imitate real ones… in many Dutch cities buildings sit on stilts because of the muddy soil and in time they became tilted. Madurodam makes you feel like Gulliver in Lilliput! Dutch girls singing traditional Dutch songs.

A place exploring blog. London Christmas Lights 2013. Only in London…. About Birmingham’s residents and their social struggles. Shanghai a blend of tradition and modernity →. About China’s quest for oil, its African links and future focus on renewables. MadsWorld: Slow Boat Under the Hill
http://wyverbird.blogspot.com/2012/08/slow-boat-under-hill.html
A sideways look at life and the natural world, seen through an off-centre filter. Monday, 20 August 2012. Slow Boat Under the Hill. Stourport Ring - Week Two - 7. And the rain stopped, and the sun shone, and we had to wear sunscreen, which made us all sparkly – oh, the indignity! My birthday, so cards and pressies with breakfast, and away to the south, heading for Stourport Junction and the lock-mountain we have to climb to get to Birmingham. There has been something odd happening along the Staffs and Wo...

Unmitigated England: September 2014
http://unmitigatedengland.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
A Country Lost and a Country Found. Tuesday, 23 September 2014. Once Upon A Time. Further down the lane is Great Snoring, a very pretty village with the church of St.Mary's. Worth visiting for the 15th century painted panels on the rood screen, defaced in the Tudor Reformation, and a superb late seventeenth century coat-of-arms towering over the inside of the south door. Near to Fakenham, near to Wells-next-the-Sea, both churches are worth the little detour. Links to this post. Friday, 19 September 2014.
