We're not the best at maintaining our blog.maybe one day we'll get better! We live and teach at an international school in South Korea. We're starting our 4th year and are not sure when we'll end up leaving! We really love our jobs and we get to travel all over the world and see some amazing things. We feel very blessed to be living the lives we are, and all glory goes to God! He is our reason for living. Monday, August 20, 2012. Such a sweet girl. She loves sucking these two fingers! One of her favorite...

Conversations about church: The Banquet
http://conversationsaboutchurch.blogspot.com/2013/06/the-banquet.html
Conversations as we start up a new community of believers from scratch. Jesus replied: "A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests.but they all alike began to make excuses. The servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house. ordered his servant, 'Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.'" (Luke 14:16, 18, 21 NIV). Us but didn't want to join. But who does Jesus choose? Soon as...

Conversations about church: In the beginning...
http://conversationsaboutchurch.blogspot.com/2013/06/in-beginning.html
Conversations as we start up a new community of believers from scratch. We're so far out of our comfort zone as God has called us to start a new church*. But what does the word "church" mean? The origin of the word “church” in English comes from (the Old English word "cirice" which comes from the German word " kirche". Which comes from) the Greek word “kuriakon” which literally means “house of God”. It is a purely religious word that had the meaning of “temple” or “chapel”. During our time of rest we vis...

The Been Briefing: August 2014
http://worldsojourn.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 14, 2014. Two months ago Jody and I moved to the small town of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Since then, we have done our best to dive right in, embracing all that God has for us here. And He has been so good. We have had an incredibly warm welcoming committee of people who have gone out of their way to make us feel loved and to help us settle in. I am truly grateful. And I wanted to introduce y'all to this wonderful world that we now call home in all its summertime glory. Farm) It was so much ...

The Been Briefing: January 2014
http://worldsojourn.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 18, 2014. Anna and Nate (#8 Got Married! December was such a busy month - as it always is - and I'm only now getting around to processing and celebrating the events that occurred. I love the Christmas tree! And, of course, we had to have some pictures with everyone (well, the ladies, anyway). It was really special to have all the girls present - all four Clementson sisters, as well as my brothers' wives Courtney and Rebekah, who are like sisters and might as well be! I love my family!

The Been Briefing: January 2015
http://worldsojourn.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 20, 2015. December was a tough month for me. Now that I've had some time to process it, I realized that I was struggling to find a new way to rest and recuperate in our new home. When we lived in Denver, it was easy. Head west! We would pack up our gear (or maybe just pack a quick bag), load up the wienie dogs, and head into the mountains. Whether it was a day hike or a long weekend backpacking trip, Jody and I found that the surest way to rest was to spend time outdoors. Complete with a...

Conversations about church: July 2013
http://conversationsaboutchurch.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Conversations as we start up a new community of believers from scratch. Echoes of the Abrahamic journey. On 16 June 2013 we were officially "prayed out" of our old church to begin our new journey*. When I was struggling for the words to say my mentor, Roy, likened our journey to that of Abraham:. Stephen revealed more details about Abram's call when delivering his sermon to the high priest:. Relating this back to Genesis we see that this occurred before. They began the journey but then they stopped. ...
