The displays of flowers depicted various aspects of the parish's activities during the millennium celebrations. The lych gate was decorated in Benenden cricket club colours. The splendid tapestry reflected many aspects of the village in this millennium year. The chancel and the altar had a musical theme in view of the concert held here on Saturday 26th August. The Lady Chapel was resplendent in flowers and perfumes that are a firm favourite with local bees (and beekeepers!

Founded in the 1930s, the Benenden Tennis Tournament takes place annually in July in the grounds of Benenden School. In Kent, by kind permission of the Headmistress. Over the years, three generations of tennis players have enjoyed friendly, competitive tennis on the eleven all-weather courts in this beautiful setting.
