Monday, 11 May 2015. Norfolk - dipping Citril Finch. It was too good to contemplate missing so as soon as news broke of a Citril Finch in Norfolk I made plans for a day out to see it. The day came, but I could not afford to wait on news and so had to set off at the absurd time of half 5 for my first train. Sunday, 30 August 2015. An overcast start to the morning but the sun was soon out as we headed out of the village in a different direction today.We went to the NW side which took us below Harden Moor, but we started along the bottom road in the direction of Harden seeing House Sparrow,House Martin,Goldfinch. More Goldfinch, Wren,Blue. A couple of Flyover flocks of Canadas. Then just as we were leaving a couple of Willow Warblers. Which rounded off the birding off nicely. BH and LBB Gulls. Saturday, 28 February 2015. Saturday 28th February am. From Leeshaw we followed on to Leeming Reservoir where there were some brighter spells in between the drizzle with the temperature edging up to 6°C.Here we saw Pied and Grey Wagtail. In the overflow area, the water was quiet with just Mallard. A couple of Canadas. Other Canadas could be heard above us but not seen till later from the road. BH Gulls. Wednesday, 31 December 2014. Birding Review of 2014. Well we've had another good years birding with several new species seen along with many of our old favourites.We were pleased to get passed the 100 species mark again in the local BOG area with some good additions on our Nature Reserve visits, or coastal outings. Sunday, 26 July 2015. Harold Park and Park Dam. Sunday 26th July am. The morning started well when as we were setting off a screeching noise above us made me look up to see 15 Swifts. High above our house, also two House Martins. Were flying low over the gardens. When we arrived at Harold Park there was hazy sunshine with a temperature of 10.5°C, we headed straight for the lake.There were Canadas,Mallards,Moorhen,Coot,Mute Swan.
