After looking at it for a moment I realized how quick and easy this could be made. All you would need is a coat hanger and something to connect it too. Cut the coat hanger and loop it as shown in the photo, attach it to a piece if chain, wire, or string, and then attach it to a tree limb or wherever you want. Bullock’s Orioles,.

http://www.birdsnsuch.com/2009/08/hawk-id-presentation.html
A blog about bird watching, gardening and the natural world. Monday, August 24, 2009. Wanted to share this really cool hawk guide, I recently found, created by the Hawk Migration Association of North America (HMANA). This free guide is a PowerPoint presentation that combines photographs of flying raptors, silhouettes and in-flight identification tips to help improve your hawk watching skills. The guide has been out for a few months but I just came across it this past weekend thanks to RGVBirding Fest.

Secret Cottage Garden: September 2009
http://secretcottagegarden.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Dedicated to the garden spirits that live here. Monday, September 28, 2009. My tomato is still producing, despite the heat-damaged foliage. My leafy begonia did not survive the heat. I hope they will produce new leaves from the bulb. I keep watering them. The path the painters made through my bed to get at the side of the house. It will take some time for this to recover. There is some good news. Despite the heat some plants have fourished. Witness my peony rose. Four buds! Posted by Mary Delle LeBeau.

And this post is about the blues, but in my garden, inspired by Kiki at Awake with Charm and Spirit. First a huge thank you to two wonderful bloggers who have given me the best blog award. And from The Violet Fern. Echeveria in Blue Ceramic pot.

As seen through my lens. Sunday, December 09, 2012. Her default character is calm, content, and happy but Bella became eerily quiet last winter. She knew she was missing something or someone. Who or what, and why? She was missing Chloe, her Licker Sister of eight years. I know it’s true. And my heart was breaking for Bella as she was home alone too often. But I was tired of dog work and. Physically and emotionally exhausted after Chloe’s cancer. Nine months later,. 8230;and so on. Uh, shut up! She is wit...

Secret Cottage Garden: LA Arboretum: Trees
http://secretcottagegarden.blogspot.com/2009/11/la-arboretum-trees.html
Dedicated to the garden spirits that live here. Friday, November 20, 2009. I love the strength and stature of a tree. They are the old and wise beings of the plant world. As they grow older their beauty shines in a new way. Some of the Arboretum trees had this sort of beauty. Pink or Silk Floss Tree. This tree's leaves are beginning to turn in autumn's coolness. This tree is unusual, as it has no living relatives, all others being extinct. It's extinct relatives can still be found as fossils....The silve...
Ginny's garden: Sweet on the Sweet Gum
http://ginnysgarden.blogspot.com/2013/03/sweet-on-sweet-gum.html
What grows in my garden. Sunday, March 3, 2013. Sweet on the Sweet Gum. Yesterday I was playing hopscotch with two of my young grandsons. Instead of a pebble to toss on the board, we used a Sweet Gum ball. If you have Sweet Gum trees in your garden, it's good to look for creative uses for those seed pods - you will have an abundant supply of them. And, along with leaves and pine needles, they linger at the end of my driveway. On close inspection, nestled in the grass, they look beautiful but dangerous.

Birds 'n Such
A blog about bird watching, gardening and the natural world. Saturday, February 9, 2013. Not So Lousy Bird Walk. Always try to teach the importance of nature to my kids but it’s tough at times competing with today’s distractions. I’m not sure who, or how it came about, but my kids recently asked me to take them birdwatching. With all the distractions of computers and video games they’re normally into, I jump at the opportunity to take them to the woods when given the chance. Don, the refuge’s wildl...
