Through the Looking Glass. Through the Looking Glass. Is a series that resulted from an exploration of simultaneously capturing images reflected in and seen through the same window. In some cases, what is seen through the window is another window with what is beyond it seen as well. In other words, multiple layers of imagery captured with the same exposure in the same scene. It's up to you to deconstruct the shot to find which layer each element is on. All images 2000-2014 Bob Cornelis.

Continues my exploration of the beauty of paper as an art object. As I trim off bits of paper from the larger prints I create, they fall to the floor in piles, often forming interesting patterns. Paper in this form emphasizes line and is a reminder that this simplist of design elements can lead to work of deep beauty. This series is presented as 6x6 Palladium prints on Bergger Cot320 paper. Through the Looking Glass. My primary focus when I began photography was to capture the beauty of the landscapes around me, both intimate and grand. For more than 14 years I have lived in Sonoma County, California, in the heart of wine country. I spend much of my life surrounded by paper. My career as a fine art Master Printer dictates that there is a constant supply of it in my studio at all times. Over they years I have come to appreciate the beauty of this material, not merely as a vehicle for other artwork, but as an art object itself.
