2011 Tokyo Marathon. Leaders at 6K. Stuck out my arm, pushed the iPhone camera button. Complete luck. April 19, 2015. 2 More Ok Weeks. Following Ewen's advice, I am easing back gradually, did 52K the week of 6-12 and 55K this past week. No hamstring pain at all. Included three halfway decent workouts this week, intervals at about 4:30/k pace on Wednesday, 11k with 10 150m hills on Friday and a 5k tempo run today at 4:50. Hope I can get a live feed of Boston tomorrow night. April 21, 2015 at 5:54 PM.

2011 Tokyo Marathon. Leaders at 6K. Stuck out my arm, pushed the iPhone camera button. Complete luck. June 29, 2014. 2 Fairly Good Workouts. Week of June 23 29. 593km / 36.8 mi. 2:30 - 5.9k very easy. Planned 8, but got twinges in the hamstring, so stopped. 10th day of running in a row, as I didn't rest last week, although only one of those days was a hard workout. 12:00 - Weights and abs in the gym. 7:30pm - 5,000m time trial. 5k warmup. 594kg (but 58.5 before running). 12:00 - Weights and abs in the gym.

2011 Tokyo Marathon. Leaders at 6K. Stuck out my arm, pushed the iPhone camera button. Complete luck. April 27, 2015. Picking It Up a Bit. Week of April 20 26. 544km / 33.8 mi. Did 5 runs, taking an extra day off Thursday, in addition to Saturday. 10k on Monday, 5k out @5:11/k, 5k in @4:32. I'm not in shape, so 4:32 is a good pace at this point. Interval workout on Wednesday - 1600/1200/1000/800/600/400. 13k on Friday - 7k easy then 10 x 250m (150m hill) up and down. April 19, 2015. 2 More Ok Weeks.

Another addition to my now comical list of injuries — I managed a week of actual running and then tried the 5,000m time trial last Wednesday. Ran 3k in about 4:15/4:30/4:25 and 200m later my hamstring started to pull. Not the previous injury, just because I hadn't tried to run that "fast" in about 10 weeks. I didn't think it was fast, but apparently my hamstring did. IN THE LONG RUN.

So I jogged a bit on Thursday, 6k on Friday, a bit on Saturday and then did 10k on today at the Namban Rengo 10K, Half and barbecue. Did it in 50:03, so 5:00 per k, which is better than a jog but certainly not a quick pace. It was a bit sore, but didn't get worse, so that was good. That completes my 3. My Thursday 10k run started like they usually do. A gradual grind with effort to begin as I search for my running legs after a day where they’ve just dangled uselessly from my work chair. This unshackling process mercifully doesn’t take as long these days and I put that down to the numerous work breaks I now take to do planks. I am getting better. 11 August 2015 at 19:33. Although I have not enough training before race,I could run until the goal.My target time is 3h 30m.I am satisfied with this result and my time is 3h 27m. New course,as Colin-san said,it was so difficult from 25k to 34k point. Over 25k point,strong and cold wind against us and we could see lo—ng uphill in the distance.My mind was shaken so slowdown…. This time I ate seven rice cakes(omochi) before race.but when I ate seventh omochi,bit threw up.:P. After the race,I had a good time with Nambaners.

I run for Shibuya Ekiden 2011 last sunday.It was really cold. Our team member Kylie Me Satoe Mika. Kylie-chan is so fast and her time is 10:47.I am 2nd runner and my time 11:14.Little bit slow than last year.Our team fight bravely but we are beaten by Chudai ladies.What a pity! Because our team is 4 times champion in a low. You know,EKIDEN tuck up my sleeves with "TASKI"(sash).but Kylie-chan pass me TASKI which didn't tie.Yes,that is OBI! I was running as scarf around my neck. Second is still very good.

Haven't had much to report - more eating and drinking than running. So, have been resting and running easily, and seem to be pain and injury free. I'm planning to do nothing but long, slow runs for three months to build strength. Work up to two and three hours every day. I'll do the occasional interval workout, but not all-out.
