Like being a citizen farmer, only easier on the back. British Television: What to watch now that Downton Abbey is over.*. So its the end of a British TV era: after six seasons, the uber-popular drama Downton Abbey has ended. Wanna hear a little secret? I was never a really big fan, and didnt really watch the show past the first few episodes.* This is very odd for me, as I am a confirmed Anglophile and a terrible British TV addict. You cant go far wrong with watching Monarch of the Glen. Class issues are ...

Like being a citizen farmer, only easier on the back. Why do I keep checking out books by Heidi Julavits? I have never been a Heidi Julavits fan, starting with her infamous essay when she started The Believer literary magazine. About how they wouldnt be engaging in snark. So when I saw she had published a new book called. But I am not go...

Also: Reality Hunger: A Manifes.
