forgetting the time: Weird
http://forgettingthetime.blogspot.com/2012/02/weird.html
Notes and reviews on life, writing, inspiration. And how to get lost in words. Saturday, 25 February 2012. Weird, people who don't think of me as weird, who like me just the way I am. Beautiful. Care-ful. Wierd is what we all are. Everybody, I think. 26 February 2012 at 08:35. 26 February 2012 at 22:47. I stumbled accross your blog a few days ago and when I read this post I found myself identifying with it. I notice the weird things that nobody else seems to even think about, too. 16 March 2012 at 15:12.

forgetting the time: Venturing Out as a Poet
http://forgettingthetime.blogspot.com/2012/03/venturing-out-as-poet.html
Notes and reviews on life, writing, inspiration. And how to get lost in words. Thursday, 15 March 2012. Venturing Out as a Poet. I rarely do readings these days. I shy away from the, as reading does make me a little nervous, but recently had two lovely invitations to read and decided to say yes. So very soon, I will be reading at two events in Chorlton. I usually wander along to these events all on my lonesome, so any friendly faces will be most welcome. All good Annie - I bet youll be greatx. Science an...

http://forgettingthetime.blogspot.com/2012/05/night-of-quicken-trees-claire-keegan.html
Notes and reviews on life, writing, inspiration. And how to get lost in words. Monday, 7 May 2012. Night of the Quicken Trees, Claire Keegan. So, Claire Keegan's second collection of short stories Walk the Blue Fields. Has been my companion for the past two weeks, during my holiday to Croatia and Montenegro, on the plane and on my return home. Yesterday, I finished the collection. I stayed in bed late into the morning and read the final story Night of the Quicken Trees. I found myself connected to the st...

forgetting the time: June 2012
http://forgettingthetime.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Notes and reviews on life, writing, inspiration. And how to get lost in words. Saturday, 30 June 2012. I love working part-time. In fact it's almost perfect. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in work. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday are mine. And I've been making sure they are mine. Digging at the allotment. Planting. Weeding. New little design projects involving baths, tyres and scaffold planks. It has been very freeing to spend so much time there. And I have the space to make these dreams real. Yes Mayb...

forgetting the time: Solo Living
http://forgettingthetime.blogspot.com/2012/04/solo-living.html
Notes and reviews on life, writing, inspiration. And how to get lost in words. Sunday, 8 April 2012. It's useless trying to write when I'm ill, even a shopping list is too difficult. I've been holed up at home for days and not able to write because my mind is like cotton wool and I don't have the energy it takes to work at a piece of writing. I've been stuck in the house since Wednesday and contrary to the Guardian's article on living solo. So, this is what four days of enforced stay at home does for me.

forgetting the time: Getting it wrong...
http://forgettingthetime.blogspot.com/2012/02/getting-it-wrong.html
Notes and reviews on life, writing, inspiration. And how to get lost in words. Sunday, 19 February 2012. Today, I was very hurtful to another person, not deliberately, but all the same, I was thoughtless and the way I behaved was incredibly hurtful. I'm not sure what the right thing to do following something like this, because I'm not often a shit bag. But today, I was downright hurtful and horrible, and all day I've struggled with the thought of how awful this person must have felt because of me. Thanks...

http://forgettingthetime.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Notes and reviews on life, writing, inspiration. And how to get lost in words. Wednesday, 28 March 2012. Light Nights, Full Belly. So, I finish work early. I've had a full, rewarding day full of people and learning and hard truths. I ate lunch outside on the grass, sitting with the lovely women from my workplace, and the sun was warm on my skin. It was a conference day all about Women and Asylum. Thursday, 15 March 2012. Venturing Out as a Poet. I rarely do readings these days. I shy away from the, a...

forgetting the time: Creative Collaborations
http://forgettingthetime.blogspot.com/2012/05/creative-collaborations.html
Notes and reviews on life, writing, inspiration. And how to get lost in words. Thursday, 3 May 2012. I ran a workshop last week alongside artist Gemma Lacey. We've worked together for a number of years now. I've forgotten how many. We started working together when we were individually invited to take part in an exhibition, and I wrote a poem in response to one of Gemma's beautiful prints (on the top left in the photograph). And I loved seeing all our work together. Of course, we are still evolving and wo...

Saturday, February 25, 2012. Why pay for primary? Back to school for 2012: two excited monsters. So here we are biting into another year, and already I've had that earnest discussion with a group of ballet Mums. "I love the idea of Montessori, but why pay for primary school? Our primary schools are really very good .". And you know what? Allowing them to work on the floor? Mad hippy ideas, surely. Learning, not just tolerate it, or think of it as a chore. All children deserve it, in fact, and if only the...
