Tom Miller's Bike Log. Thursday, February 05, 2009. I'm hoping Laura and the pup. Come out to a bunch of races this summer. She recently purchased a new camera and has been taking some great pix. She promised that she's going to come shoot at a bunch of races this year. Hopefully her and Dana. Who is going to be shooting our wedding this summer, can hook up and shoot together. Dana knows how to get it done behind the lens. You can't have a blog post w/o a photo, so her you go:. Other stuff I read.

My primary goal for the race was to qualify for Gate 1 placement again next year. I ended up finishing in 2:57 (7 minutes slower than last year) and 40th place overall for the women– hopefully that’s enough! My secondary goal was not to get taken out during the first few miles and that goal was also met. What a relief! Cuyuna Lakes Whiteout 2015.

I decided to put some structure into my Fat Bike racing training this winter. I don’t do so well training without a plan. The only time that worked for me successfully was the year I raced 65 races and my training plan was just racing. . . . A LOT. I’ve worked with Kyia Anderson a bit with the high school league. My training plan is si...

Carver Cold Catfish Cup is one of my favorite races. I’ve been racing at Carver in the winter since they started racing there. . .back before I even owned a fat bike. It’s a great biking scene and awesome single track without many hills. . perfect in my eyes. After race antics: Love, love, love doing the race recap at the finish line with people. ...

Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. 2016 Winter Racing Calendar. Monthly Archives: November 2012. November 27, 2012. Why is this race so much fun? The people who put it on have a lot to do with it. Hard work, low (almost no) cost, riding in the dark through the suburb streets and trails I should know by now (but don’t), AND a beer stop. Added bonus was the new winners sash Anne Quinn made, instead of the painful but cool crown made from a chain ring I got last time. November 27, 2012.

The leaves are changing, temperature is dropping, time to start thinking about FAT BIKE RACE SEASON! I know, I know, so many people are sad to see the warm weather coming to an end, but I can’t wait for the snow to fall and winter racing season to commence. SKJs: Summer is Going Fast
http://sarakylander-johnson.blogspot.com/2013/08/summer-is-going-fast.html
Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Summer is Going Fast. This is the setup. Multiple chains ready for action. Like always, summer in Duluth goes past in a flash. I am back to work this week and start with students next Wednesday. I am excited to start up again and get back into the teaching groove. The posted picture depicts our clean drivetrain. Thanks to Scott's hard work and ability to try new things, this has been one of the best things he has done to make sure our bikes work perfectly! Paul, Kelly and Leo Ha...
