The Kniterella View: It's just that time of year
http://thekniterella.blogspot.com/2010/12/its-just-that-time-of-year.html
Wednesday, December 08, 2010. It's just that time of year. Knitting has been occurring and this vest is a gift. For my dear friend, Amy. It is the Mary Swanson cardi-vest and I simply adore it. It is knit in Brown Sheep Worsted and the main color lived in my stash for a long time. I picked up the contrasting colors from my LYS. It was a quick knit and this is definitely a pattern I will knit again. Theres nothing better than knitting for a grateful recipient. The vest looks great! Little Thorns buy now.

The Kniterella View: The skein that sparked insanity
http://thekniterella.blogspot.com/2011/12/skein-that-sparked-insanity.html
Saturday, December 31, 2011. The skein that sparked insanity. On the cusp of a brand spankin' New Year and I find myself sorting through bins of yarn. My goal (if you can rightfully call it that) is to get every skein of yarn into Ravelry with a photo and bin location. The craziness that sparked this endeavor was my desire to find a skein of sock yarn that I KNEW I had. It nearly became an obsession as every bin was searched and searched through again. Ha! I went into Doll House for a Sherri Hill dress a...

The Kniterella View: October 2010
http://thekniterella.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 26, 2010. Through the loops mystery sock: the foot. Where have the last few weeks gone? The winds blew strong yesterday and the skimmer basket was so heavy that I could barely dig it out to empty it. It has been warm and humid, though. No complaints because we have 20 degrees on our previous town and 10 degrees on my home town. Seems like this is where the big difference begins in temperature. The Mardi Gras vest is still coming along. I have knit through the second whirligig and sta...

The Kniterella View: May 2010
http://thekniterella.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 20, 2010. Rounding the craft bend. Contemplation has been the word of the month. My elbow has continued to nag at me and thoughts of knitting being worth the trouble have loomed in my mind. The elbow is not in pain, merely discomfort, but it is persistent. Just sharp enough to let me know it is still with me and that escape is probably not possible. I've tried out exercises, sitting positions, and different seating. All to no avail. What would become of all the lovely fibers in my stash?

The Kniterella View: Redwood Smoke: help from a fellow knitter
http://thekniterella.blogspot.com/2010/12/redwood-smoke-help-from-fellow-knitter.html
Sunday, December 12, 2010. Redwood Smoke: help from a fellow knitter. Back in November I found myself in a quandary. Redwood Smoke. Was nearing completion and the edging yarn ran about 10 yards short. This is the Woodsmoke scarf. Pattern published in Brave New Knits. Smoke signals were sent up with success and this sweet knit was finished in a jiffy! Just one more example of what a helpful tool Ravelry can be in making our fibery dreams come true. Refused to accept payment was made easy. Easy as Pie Scarf.

The Kniterella View: Christmas swap
http://thekniterella.blogspot.com/2010/11/christmas-swap.html
Wednesday, November 10, 2010. Our first Christmas party in the South introduced us to a different way to exchange holiday gifts. In the North, you bring a wrapped gift, they put a little number on it, you pull a number out of a 'hat' and receive the corresponding gift. Nice, neat, over. I must admit, the Southern method is much more fun! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Purchase That 60's Sweater pattern. That 60's Sweater buy now. Purchase Little Thorns Pattern. The Kniterella View: April 2010
http://thekniterella.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 27, 2010. Every day I marvel that it is 80-some degrees and only April. The veggies are growing nicely and my uncle clued me into the correct way to plant garlic. There was a pretty large pot growing a crop of weeds, and it didn't take much work to convert it to a garlic grower. Lucy was sweet enough to pose with it before:. Bugg is going to love it! My next project happens to be felting for Bugg, too. A cute bag pattern followed me home from Stitches West! Bugg gets home from college on M...

The Kniterella View: Teen Scarf aka Easy as Pie Scarf
http://thekniterella.blogspot.com/2007/12/teen-scarf-aka-easy-as-pie-scarf.html
Sunday, December 09, 2007. Teen Scarf aka Easy as Pie Scarf. Friends find my knitting fascinating. They are often anxious to learn, but finding time for them to sit down and actually put yarn to needle is another story. On occasion one of them will ask me to knit them a pair of socks - heh. We ALL know the answer to this one! In compromise, these scarves will be quick little gifts for the teen friends this year and they can knit up in one evening! Foliage; 100 yds. Or about 100 yards of any bulky yarn).

The Kniterella View: July 2010
http://thekniterella.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 30, 2010. I've wanted to blog, but things here tend to be kept light and focused on crafty pursuits. There have been way too many distractions with my Hubs and favorite pup. Hubs is much better and they are keeping tabs on his blood pressure. He can finally drive himself, lift moderately, and get into the pool. It must have felt like he was on lock down. He has lost a little weight, but is doing much better. Whew! Sunday, July 11, 2010. Day 9 - 2010 Tour de fleece. Friday, July 09, 2010.
