The Kniterella View: October 2010

http://thekniterella.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Tuesday, October 26, 2010. Through the loops mystery sock: the foot. Where have the last few weeks gone? The winds blew strong yesterday and the skimmer basket was so heavy that I could barely dig it out to empty it. It has been warm and humid, though. No complaints because we have 20 degrees on our previous town and 10 degrees on my home town. Seems like this is where the big difference begins in temperature. The Mardi Gras vest is still coming along. I have knit through the second whirligig and sta...

The Kniterella View: It's just that time of year

http://thekniterella.blogspot.com/2010/12/its-just-that-time-of-year.html

Wednesday, December 08, 2010. It's just that time of year. Knitting has been occurring and this vest is a gift. For my dear friend, Amy. It is the Mary Swanson cardi-vest and I simply adore it. It is knit in Brown Sheep Worsted and the main color lived in my stash for a long time. I picked up the contrasting colors from my LYS. It was a quick knit and this is definitely a pattern I will knit again. Theres nothing better than knitting for a grateful recipient. The vest looks great! Little Thorns buy now.

The Kniterella View: May 2010

http://thekniterella.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html

Thursday, May 20, 2010. Rounding the craft bend. Contemplation has been the word of the month. My elbow has continued to nag at me and thoughts of knitting being worth the trouble have loomed in my mind. The elbow is not in pain, merely discomfort, but it is persistent. Just sharp enough to let me know it is still with me and that escape is probably not possible. I've tried out exercises, sitting positions, and different seating. All to no avail. What would become of all the lovely fibers in my stash?

The Kniterella View: Teen Scarf aka Easy as Pie Scarf

http://thekniterella.blogspot.com/2007/12/teen-scarf-aka-easy-as-pie-scarf.html

Sunday, December 09, 2007. Teen Scarf aka Easy as Pie Scarf. Friends find my knitting fascinating. They are often anxious to learn, but finding time for them to sit down and actually put yarn to needle is another story. On occasion one of them will ask me to knit them a pair of socks - heh. We ALL know the answer to this one! In compromise, these scarves will be quick little gifts for the teen friends this year and they can knit up in one evening! Foliage; 100 yds. Or about 100 yards of any bulky yarn).

A Little Bit of Knit: March 2008

http://ayenforyarn.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html

A Little Bit of Knit. Thursday, March 27, 2008. I hope all you knitters out there don't desert me. Where are ya all anyway? Translate - leave me some comments would ya? I digress. Don't hate me because I am addicted to spinning. Here is the Pigeon Roof. I love love love this skein. This is actually taken before I soaked it. It's nice and "fluffed up" now. I might save it for a hat. :). New stuff on the wheel is some roving I dyed myself. I took a dyeing class at City Knitting. Sunday, March 23, 2008.

A Little Bit of Knit. Tuesday, April 22, 2008. Did that get your attention? I couldn't resist posting this, because how often can you use a title like that? I found this in the chip bag the other day. I know it's not really hairy, but ewwwww. He looks so funny in his wig lol! He had fun, but he didn't like it that kids laughed at his hair. That wig was tight on his head and made his little cheeks pop out like a chipmunk. It was cute. I finally took some pics of my latest spinning project. Studio for some...

Artemis | Jeanne Knits

https://jmknits.wordpress.com/2010/07/11/artemis

Yarn, knitting, spinning, yarn, yarn….did I mention yarn? As I mentioned on my last post, I finished Artemis last weekend and blocked it on Monday. And it turned out so well (if I do say so myself) that I wish you all could see it in person! Isn’t that gorgeous? I know – it sounds so conceited of me to talk about my knitting like that – but this yarn is so pretty that I just can’t help myself. How about some project details…. Yarn: Fluffy Cat, Blue Topaz colorway, by Wandering Cat Yarns. Next Post ».

Yarn, knitting, spinning, yarn, yarn….did I mention yarn? Do you remember this? Now it’s this. I took advantage of a rainy Sunday afternoon to spin a little, and I not only finished the singles for this, but I plied it all up. I’m very happy with it, and I am really looking forward to using it. Roving: 4 oz. Gale’s Art. 100% blue faced leicester, colorway Crayon Box. Swan song | Jeanne Knits

https://jmknits.wordpress.com/2010/09/26/swan-song

Yarn, knitting, spinning, yarn, yarn….did I mention yarn? I’ve been thinking about the blog lately – not posting, but just thinking about it. My first post. As I go through it, I’m just struck with how much nice yarn I have that I totally forgot I had. We are converting Cieara’s room to a guest room and I’m going to put in a bookcase with cubbies to store my yarn so I can actually see it – and I’m looking forward to using it! I wish you all the best in your knitting (and non knitting! 8211; and I’l...

26 November, 2010. We had a great first day on the ground in Dublin. Started by taking the Green Bus Tour around the high points of the city, to get oriented. Then we decided to find the National Leprechaun Museum. Which was a little gem. Had an early tea in a nice Irish pub [no turkey], and then homeward, so I could rest my feverish/chilled self. Fever's gone today, so onward we go. 25 November, 2010. A happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends! 23 November, 2010. Happy Happy Joy Joy. It's been a re...
