http://stewpot-brum.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Showcasing the best food and drink Birmingham has to offer. Thursday, 5 September 2013. A few weekends ago I went to a 30th birthday party. The friend reaching this particular birthday milestone happened to be Danish and as a result a fair crowd of Scandinavian expats had assembled. I recalled someone mentioning there was a Persian supermarket ...I ask...

http://stewpot-brum.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Showcasing the best food and drink Birmingham has to offer. Wednesday, 9 October 2013. The one thing I knew before I went on holiday is that I needed a holiday. In recent times, I'd had the luxury of spare time with which to plan such things, not this time. This time, the process was: 'find cheap flights to somewhere interesting.' Germany featured consistently among the cheapest destinations and then thoughts immediately went along the lines of 'can we get to Bamberg? The old town hall. There are only tw...

The Stewpot: Sloe Gin
http://stewpot-brum.blogspot.com/2012/10/sloe-gin.html
Showcasing the best food and drink Birmingham has to offer. Tuesday, 9 October 2012. This year I've managed to scrounge up enough for a batch of gin, but if you're planning on making some you'll need to be quick as unfortunately, this years sloe yield (in my neck of the woods) seems to be low and what there is seems to have ripened very early.

Showcasing the best food and drink Birmingham has to offer. Sunday, 26 August 2012. Birmingham Street Food (with very poor pictures). Pay no attention to my shoddy, hastily snapped smartphone pictures. They really don't do the Digbeth Dining Club. Street food event justice. Organised by the Digbeth Dining Club, the full line up was as follows:. The Original Patty Men. The remains of my pulled pork roll from The Big Smoke stall. You'll just have to imagine what it looked like, sorry. 12 Stouts of Christmas.
