http://birdingecosse.blogspot.com/2013/05/the-manic-pace-continues.html
Wednesday, 15 May 2013. The manic pace continues! Sorry for lack of posts recently, it's not that I have nothing to report, the exact opposite in fact with not enough hours in the day! Met some brilliant people, seen some brilliant birds and been in some spectacular Scottish scenery. To keep you going a quick selection of pics taken over the last few weeks. Tawney Owl (looking stunning. not! Can you spot Owlet number 2? When on a tour that is). 16 May 2013 at 17:24. Love the owlets. Found #2.

Birding Ecosse: July 2013
http://birdingecosse.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 2 July 2013. I'm back - Alberta Part1. Well that's me back to Bonnie Scotland after a cracking three weeks in Alberta Canada, taking in the worst flooding in Alberta's history, being caught up in a real live Tornado warning and some scorching sunshine. Although not a birding holiday all the people we stayed with accepted our strange ways and all pulled out the stops to ensure we saw as many species possible, so a massive thanks to you, one and all! A Palm Warbler was banded at Rocky Point a couple of days ago, the first Lapland Longspurs were reported this morning, and good numbers of raptors are moving through East Sooke and Rocky Point. Last Thursday, Mike M called me, letting me know about 4 Sandhill Cranes. Thanks Mike and Mary! And 3 Sharp-shinned Hawks.

Victoria Big Year: The Clock Runs Down.....
http://vicbigyear.blogspot.com/2011/12/clock-runs-down.html
Follow along as Jeremy Kimm chases a Victoria, BC, birding record! Saturday, December 31, 2011. The Clock Runs Down. Well, it is December 31. It is dark, and there are no more owls to be found, and I end the year at 246 species, six short of my target. It has been a great year, and aside from the magic 252 number, I have achieved everything I set out to do. I have had a lot of fun, met a lot of great people, found a lot of new spots, and seen a lot of great birds! Lesser Nighthawk (first Victoria record).

Follow along as Jeremy Kimm chases a Victoria, BC, birding record! Thursday, December 15, 2011. Bird 243, a Real Beauty! Out of the dark, a soft ping-pong call worked its way through the trees, coming closer and closer, and my year-long hunt for Western Screech-Owl was almost at an end! Our Western Screech-Owl, the coastal. Sadly, without awareness and action, we face a future without Western Screech-Owls throughout most of Vancouver Island. The choice riparian habitats are being developed and Barred...

A Victoria Birder: December 2013
http://victoriabirder.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Birding around Victoria, BC, and maybe a trip or two. Big Year 2 List. Big Day and Big Year Records. Sunday, December 15, 2013. Rock Wren in a Winter Wonderland. Well, a Victoria-style Winter Wonderland anyway. Yesterday I found myself finished up with work and everything with a couple of hours of light to spare, so I headed up to Christmas Hill to see if I could locate the Rock Wren. A couple of very cold hours later, no go on the wren. Back up top, a familiar face was scanning the rocks, and I saw him ...
