Product Development at SERRV. Fair Trade Baby Jesus →. November 12, 2012. For several years my passions have consisted of God, Art and Empowering the poor. Today I have a new one…an unconditional love for this little creature that has been growing inside me for the past 6 months; her name is Natalia and she is my new joy. Her existence has motivated me to create and play with art once again. I have just completed her first gift: A series of paintings called “Born to Fly”. Posted in Born to Fly Series.

When all you have left is hope…. Born to Fly →. Product Development at SERRV. September 21, 2012. It has been over a year since I started working at SERRV. A nonprofit fair trade organization that provides support to artisans and farmers around the world by marketing their crafts and food in the USA market. As an assistant buyer in the Product Development Team, I’ve learned a lot about the challenges involved in developing products with artisans living in more than 36 countries. And if we have funding, t...

LENUME gives us a sneak peak of Honduran Artisans. Next Project: Helping Single Mothers in Nicaragua →. Community Art Project with Artisans from Honduras. August 24, 2010. A month ago, Natalie Boyett, Jeff Thompson, Megan Miller, Aaron Wood and myself flew down to Honduras to train artisans on jewelry making and to unveil the art piece that Natalie had been working on with 51 artisans from Lempira, Honduras. At least we hadn’t gotten ready yet. I came out of that room with peace. After lunch, we all head...

Traditional Nativity with a Modern Twist →. Fair Trade Baby Jesus. December 1, 2012. I think I am done decorating for Christmas…all I need to remind me of why this is such a special time for me is a bright stripped baby Jesus. That I had fun developing with one of Serrv’s partner organizations, MCCH. I will celebrate this Christmas with thanksgiving…an artisan in Ecuador was financially blessed this year because of this product. That is what Jesus’ bday is all about right? Michelle StOnge helps women in Nicaragua. Product Development at SERRV →. When all you have left is hope…. July 15, 2011. I remember my first trip to Nicaragua when I met many of these hard working women living hard lives. I visited their homes and was greeted by their economic need that until this day, I have not forgotten. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about them. In the mean time all I can do is pray for a miracle. 3 thoughts on “ When all you have left is hope…. Fill in your detai...

Fair Trade Baby Jesus. Traditional Nativity with a Modern Twist. December 9, 2014. I love Christmas and all of the memories that it brings with it each year. When I was little I used to help my Tita (grandma) with her nativity. It was a big project! Her nativities were well known in her neighborhood because they filled up her entire garage. I used to help her paint the little cardboard houses and had a lot of fun making the roads, mountains and rivers. As well as by villages from my beautiful country.
