I am impressed. The concept is intriguing – recipes focused on both Jewish and Arab cuisine. A shared city with some shared food history. The book is visually stunning and, with its focus in vegetables and grains, it could really work for my family. Recipe # 1. Burnt eggplant and couscous soup. Page 141. 2 Tbs olive oil.

Cooking for my little family. Friday, April 1, 2016. Tony met me for lunch today at Dos Batos. It is just a taco place in a strip mall, but it smells fantastic thanks to their woodfired grill. We started with the chips sampler: queso, guacamole, and a salsa that is served warm. I had the Ostin, a veggie taco that includes mushrooms, peppers, and onions. Love seeing this face in the middle of the day (I mean Tony's, not the one on the wall. Just wanted to clear that up.). Love all these faces so much.
