Toys and Games: Mother's Day
http://toysandgames.blogspot.com/2012/05/mothers-day.html
There is nothing so vital as paying attention to and nurturing the offices of love. Monday, May 14, 2012. Saturday I spent the day with Sharah. I mistakenly arrived at a 5k. it is next week. at 7:30 AM near Sharah's house. When I texted her to tell her where I was, her reply was "Yay! We had a great day doing a few random things. shopping, a baby shower, catching butterflies in a lupine meadow, a potluck dinner, a hike, gathering sassafras tea, and finishing the day with a visit to the laundrymat! Drille...

Logging into Rustic Living: Burning branches and bark
http://loggingintorusticliving.blogspot.com/2008/03/burning-branches-and-bark.html
Logging into Rustic Living. Friday, March 7, 2008. Burning branches and bark. Some times the fire was humongous. One day a state trooper stopped by to see what was going on. He said the smoke was so bad on the highway that one couldn't see the car ahead of you. He just told us to keep it down a bit. March 7, 2008 at 4:46 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I love the comments my kids are making. I'm sure they remember things that I don't. Our kids are: Steve, Shari, Scott and Sue. Let me tell you.

Logging into Rustic Living: THE TINY CABIN
http://loggingintorusticliving.blogspot.com/2008/04/tiny-cabin.html
Logging into Rustic Living. Friday, April 11, 2008. A tourist from New York City was hiking through the mountains of North Georgia when he came upon the tiniest cabin he had ever seen in his life. Intrigued, he went up and knocked on the door."Anybody home? He asked."Yep," came a kid's voice through the door."Is your father there? Asked the tourist. "Pa? Nope, he left afore Ma came in," said the kid."Well, is your mother there? Persisted the tourist."Ma? Thanks for the laugh! April 13, 2008 at 8:42 PM.

Logging into Rustic Living: Cabin Scrapbook
http://loggingintorusticliving.blogspot.com/2008/03/cabin-scrapbook.html
Logging into Rustic Living. Thursday, March 6, 2008. I took pictures but unfortunately we didn't have digital camera's back then, so I didn't take too many pictures. This is the first page of the scrapbook that I compiled. Larry's Dad "Perry" was recovering from a heart attack so was very limited in how much he could get involved in building. He was a logger by trade so he was right in his element and he became "overseer". He owned a tractor with a forklift which we used to lift most of the logs. There w...

Toys and Games: Huntin' Season
http://toysandgames.blogspot.com/2012/11/huntin-season.html
There is nothing so vital as paying attention to and nurturing the offices of love. Thursday, November 15, 2012. This is a picture that includes my great grandfather Culver, my grandmother Cramer's father. He is the one closes to the front, I believe. I love this picture for many reasons. It reminds me of reenacting, which I love, a true primitive camp! I love to think of them hunting for deer to provide for their families. Maybe not. I just keep thinking of venison. beyond the sound barrier...: December 2014
http://beyondthesoundbarrier.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Beyond the sound barrier. Time is a construct of human importance. I Had A Dream. I had a dream that I tried to drown myself, and in doing so inhaled mouthful after mouthful of briny lake water. In my dream the water went through me like air and I could not die. Did one watch the other die? Did they say anything? Did fish see them as they sank to the bottom? And what sound did their bodies and clothes make as the touched the frozen clay? You are no insomniac. But a sentry, stationed here at night.

Toys and Games: Adirondack Water
http://toysandgames.blogspot.com/2013/09/adirondack-water.html
There is nothing so vital as paying attention to and nurturing the offices of love. Monday, September 16, 2013. Two friends and I hiked 65 miles on the Northville-Placid Trail this summer. We faced cold, mosquitos and deerflies, torrential rains and mishaps like missing our campsite in a thunderstorm, breaking our water filter, and losing a sole from a hiking boot! But, despite all the problems we faced, we also saw great beauty- particularly Adirondack water. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Christma...
