Monday, March 14, 2011. This cake was for a 2 year old who was crazy for Elmo. I had such a fun time making this cake, I mean who doesn't like Elmo? It was yellow cake with vanilla buttercream frosting. The star tip was used to decorate. I started decorating cakes about a year ago. I took the Wilton's decorating class at a local Micheal's. Saturday, March 26, 2011. Sweet Indulgences without the Guilt! How to have your favorite treats and not feel guilty? I have decided that one can have whatever sweet indulgence the heart desires. However, everything in moderation. I am going to a barbecue and was thinking what to take for a dessert. I thought about making my speciality pound cake. But that probably is not a good idea. One it calls for 3 sticks of butter, eggs, and sugar. Not exactly the occasion for this. Enjoy something good today!
