What better to be surrounded by than boys? Saturday, December 27, 2008. Merry Christmas to all! What a wonderful Christmas we had this year. The kids were all well (no stomach bugs or anything), I got new dishes to put our Christmas Eve meal on, the kids slept in until 7:30 on Christmas morning, and Sam slept until like 9:00! This year Eric had been bugging me to make him a "sith robe" and I kept telling him I didn't have enough time. Little did he know it was already done! Sunday, December 21, 2008.

While living in a one room studio, I began concentrating in the medium of woodcut due to the simple reason that one could complete the entire process in any space. The woodcut allowed me to actually partner with the medium because every piece of wood makes its own statement in the grain that works in concert with the image. As far as imagery, the portrait is one that continues to attract and challenge me.
