Stitching together the people in my life through knitting. Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Keeping Away the Deer. The potatoes and onions are coming up. I might have to cover the potato plants this weekend. I found some nifty garden decorations at the Dollar Tree. Everything there is really $1! I bought windsocks and swirly things to keep the deer away as well. The sun was just for me. The View Outside My Window. Saturday, May 1, 2010. Cook Some Yummy Shrimp. 1 pound uncooked linguini. 1/4 cup white wine. Two St...

KnitB4Sleep: August 2010
http://knitb4sleep.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Stitching together the people in my life through knitting. Tuesday, August 31, 2010. I looked out my bathroom window one morning last week and saw a deer! When I stepped outside with my camera I saw 2 more. I've seen their tracks since moving here a year ago but haven't ever caught them hanging out in my yard until now. I think they were probably scheming how to get into my vegetable garden, but so far they have stayed out. Zinnias are my personal favorite. Tuesday, August 10, 2010. Pandora - Great music!

Pop Goes the Weasel: May 2008
http://clairemarcben.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Pop Goes the Weasel. Wednesday, May 28, 2008. We actually got a few days of weather that's warm enough to play with water outside and not worry about getting drenched. This brings Ben (and myself) great joy! Now it's a few days later, the cool(er) air has returned to the lower 60's and Ben is wondering why he can't play in the water like he did before. Sigh. Welcome to springtime in Wisconsin, my love. Summer will be back again soon. Tuesday, May 27, 2008. Here are the goods for the recipe:. We took a sp...

Pop Goes the Weasel. Thursday, February 5, 2009. I have a good friend from college who lives in Madison and has a son a good six or so months older than Ben. We recently joined the same art class (I pretty much copy-catted her, actually) that meets every Thursday morning and it has been really nice seeing them so consistently! So, here are the exciting things that have been going on in our lives that don't have to do with the weather:. 1 We found out a few weeks ago we're having a girl! I know, I know, t...

Pop Goes the Weasel: April 2008
http://clairemarcben.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Pop Goes the Weasel. Sunday, April 27, 2008. It's always such a treat to buzz up a mere 2.5 hours to my parent's house for a weekend. They live on 15 acres of hills, prairie, and woods. What a perfect mix, eh? We were hoping to go up this weekend and enjoy the warm spring air, sit on the various porches/decks while sipping coffee, and play outside without getting bundled. Alas, the weather turned and it was cold, windy and it even snowed a little. Oh well. Thursday, April 24, 2008. For dried blueberries ...

Pop Goes the Weasel: Coziness
http://clairemarcben.blogspot.com/2008/10/coziness.html
Pop Goes the Weasel. Saturday, October 4, 2008. Marc and Ben built our first fire of the season. I was telling Marc that this felt like completing something in this new house for me, possibly that I grew up with frequent fires during the colder months and had been missing that ever since leaving home 11 years ago. And you paint colors are cozy, too! October 5, 2008 at 10:36 AM. Oh, so cozy. yes. October 5, 2008 at 7:26 PM. And jealous. Oh so jealous. October 7, 2008 at 7:43 AM. Blogging Friends and Family.

KnitB4Sleep: March 2010
http://knitb4sleep.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Stitching together the people in my life through knitting. Tuesday, March 23, 2010. Warming Up Any Way We Can. I drove to Kansas for a few days with my folks so we could spend time with my nieces during their spring break. Usually it is 10 - 15 degrees warmer down there than in Michigan, but this time it was cold! Sunday, March 14, 2010. I finished my Wallaby sweater! I thought my bathroom cabinet needed some cheer. You know those beautiful pieces of paper that scrapbookers get to use? Zooglobble - Child...
