Depicts a simple shape that goes through a series of imperceptible changes to give rise to its mirror image. The suspended chromed steel elements appear to hang almost weightless transforming the steel into something of the lightness of a wind-filled sail. Was selected for showing at the 127th Paisley Art Institute annual exhibition, May 2015. Materials Chrome on mild steel, stainless steel wire, borosilicate glass and cherry wood. Chris lives and works in Edinburgh, Scotland and creates metal sculptures in steel and bronze. A recurring theme throughout his work is repetition reflecting his fascination with nature’s own repeating patterns and the repeating themes and geometric shapes in modern architecture. His work focuses on the creation of abstract sculpture incorporating these repeating themes with gradually growing or diminishing forms creating unique textures.

Was created by interleaving plain and zinc dipped steel discs. The final form developed and evolved while experimenting with different arrangements of the discs eventually arriving at this quite organic form.
