Thursday, September 30, 2010. September: 612km @4:10 pace Avg HR 151 beats/km 629. Big month. I feel like I have recovered well from the big weeks132/134/143/155km - this last week has been a cut-back of sorts (110km scheduled) knocking 12 minutes off my hour runs, taking intensity off Tuesday intervals, and a bit off the Thursday evening run. No long run this week, racing Fremantle Half on Sunday. It will be a good test of where I'm at. 38 days to go. Thursday, September 30, 2010. 2014 Year in Review.

Track Time: Mt Helena 40 Miler Relay
http://sugar-42195.blogspot.com/2011/04/mt-helena-40-miler-relay.html
Monday, April 4, 2011. Mt Helena 40 Miler Relay. Although very secondary to the main event, the relay at the Mount Helena 40 miler is always fun. I managed to assemble a 'dream team' of pretty strong runners with the goal of breaking the 4 hour barrier for the 40 mile course. It was going to be a tough ask because conditions were not favourable for this fairly hilly course. Monday, April 04, 2011. Hey, nice work on the run! February 10, 2012 at 4:56 PM. Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Overtraining - a cautionary tale. It's been a while since my last post, although the Strands site contains training diary these days. It's been an interesting winter season with some big highs and a few lows. Highs were the win at the Elleker HM and the 1:14:03 Half Marathon at Gold Coast a few days after my 47th birthday. Deep down I knew this was happening, I didn't have the self discipline to pull back. I will listen to my body next time. Tuesday, September 27, 2011.

Friday, April 30, 2010. As anyone who has read any of my entries will know, I make a big deal about my running economy as a measure of my current condition, that is the number of heartbeats per kilometer; on any given run this is worked out by multiplying my average HR by the number of minutes per kilometer. I've said it before, I don't know what's happening, but I'm going to ride this horse 'till it drops! Friday, April 30, 2010. Wednesday, April 28, 2010. I was having a lovely run this morning in beaut...

Monday, November 7, 2011. Looking for answers (is this normal? Have I blown something? I went to see Carmel Goodman at her rooms at Challenge. I got the best answer I could have expected, yes it is normal, and no you haven't. My bloodwork results were very good. This is straight overtraining. I will get back to where I was, I just have to be patient and be very conservative in what I'm doing. Monday, November 07, 2011. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Running Man Henry Runs Running Man Henry Runs Running Man Henry Runs. Hey, still here! Logging in to comment on Epi's last post has prompted me to post again. Had to rummage and look for the login details first though. The Four Seasons at Wailea in Maui is indeed beyond this world. Somewhere someone said that if there is a heaven, it is hopefully managed by Four Seasons. I agree. Still better than my last post though, down to 89kgs! Ehm Can't shake those pesky twins I carry around with me constantly.

Running Man Henry Runs Running Man Henry Runs Running Man Henry Runs. The title has a number of connotations:. Coming out of the fondue (see last post over a year ago);. Coming out of the house;. Coming out with one or more secrets I have kept in an imaginary closet. Bodyfat Pctge: 28.5%. HR: yes, it still beats. Last run: sometime in August '09 (I think). Pace: you've got to be joking! Even though it reads in the heading "Henry runs", none of that has been happening in the last twelve months. There are ...

Running Man Henry Runs Running Man Henry Runs Running Man Henry Runs. I needed some rest after the effort in September and October and although I kept active a bit, there was no structure or plan behind it. The niggles I was suffering from for a number of weeks have disappeared and as of last Monday, I am back in training. The focus this year will be on triathlons with the first one being the Australia Day Triathlon at Point Walter on, well, Australia Day. From there on we'll see. Wednesday: Ride 51';.
