http://cardboardonice.blogspot.com/2015/08/bob-turners-fistful-of-stanley-cups.html
Searching, collecting and coveting hockey cards. Thursday, August 6, 2015. Bob Turner's Fistful of Stanley Cups. Bob Turner walked on to the Montreal Canadiens midway through the 1955-56 season just in time to be part of their record-setting run of five straight Stanley Cups from 1956 to 1960. Turner's #40 card from the 1958-59 Parkhurst issue cost me $6:. After his retirement, Turner coached his hometown Regina Pats for 10 years and won the Memorial Cup in 1974. Cardboard Clubhouse: August 2015
http://cardboardclubhouse.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
A blog about sports cards, collectibles, and anything else that's fun and interesting. Sunday, August 30, 2015. A Subjective, Arbitrary, and AWESOME Trade Package! First off . THIS! A sealed pack of cards! Unfortunately the Mattingly rookie card wasn't part of the pack but it definitely helped out getting more cards knocked off the list. No, I did not try the gum that was in the pack either. A number of Hall of Famers here in Yount, Morgan, Henderson, and Murray. Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Having been doi...

Cardboard Clubhouse: July 2015
http://cardboardclubhouse.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
A blog about sports cards, collectibles, and anything else that's fun and interesting. Wednesday, July 29, 2015. 1987 Topps Collectors Kit. I'm continually amazed at some of the stuff you can find just by digging through junk piles at the card shop. I found this randomly one day while buying some packs and some vintage singles. With the $9.99 price tag, I knew I couldn't pass it up. A huge pile of 1987 Topps! There were a few winners though in the pile. A proverbial mid-to-late 80s All-Star team with...

Wax Stain Rookie: February 2015
http://waxstainrookie.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 17, 2015. 08-09 SPx Winning Materials Hull and Hawerchuk. Normally I write something before the card, but not today. Check out that card. What are your thoughts? Arguably two of the best players to ever wear the jersey (Selanne is in that discussion too). Swatches are small, but hey, these are two Hall of Famers here! Jersey swatches are different! Can you believe one is game used and the other is event used? Best part, you can't see this on the card but I paid 2 bucks! Here is another ...

Wax Stain Rookie: 1964-65 Topps Tall Boys #42 - Floyd Smith
http://waxstainrookie.blogspot.com/2015/06/1964-65-topps-tall-boys-42-floyd-smith.html
Monday, June 29, 2015. 1964-65 Topps Tall Boys #42 - Floyd Smith. The last of my tall boys (for now) is number 42 in the set and number 6 in my collection, Floyd Smith. Floyd played in parts of 13 NHL seasons in a total of 616 regular season games. He scored over 20 goals twice and over 40 points three times which is very respectable for the time period. 1964-65 Topps Tall Boys #42 - Floyd Smith. The cartoon is a little tragic if you ask me but still a fun sign of the times. View my complete profile.

MY HOCKEY CARD OBSESSION: 1 vs. 100 - A Lasting Impression
http://myhockeycardobsession.blogspot.com/2015/07/1-vs-100-lasting-impression.html
Tuesday, July 14, 2015. 1 vs 100 - A Lasting Impression. I've had a few people ask to see all one hundred of my '1 vs. 100' cards all in one fell swoop. It's neat to see all of them and go through them putting this together. I forgot about some of the great stories or quirky incidents that occurred over the six years of building it. Ray Ferraro - back to back (you'll have to find them). David Aebischer - a pair of real low offerings. Mark Messier - at #3.Ugh! This project is officially put to bed. Wantli...

MY HOCKEY CARD OBSESSION: June 2015
http://myhockeycardobsession.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2015. 1 vs 100 - It's Celebration Time. It's been a busy June for me (as always when it comes to work). I've been on a semi-hiatus from the hobby.but not quite like last year. I've dipped my toes into the pool a few times, mostly only to take them out after a couple minutes. No deep end dives (although the thought had crossed my mind on one occasion). What June has brought me though is a couple of very significant milestones. That's right.'1 vs. 100' is complete. The final c...This Patr...

MY HOCKEY CARD OBSESSION: LINDEN CARD OF THE WEEK - Jumping Back In
http://myhockeycardobsession.blogspot.com/2015/08/linden-card-of-week-jumping-back-in.html
Saturday, August 1, 2015. LINDEN CARD OF THE WEEK - Jumping Back In. I took a quick peek at my ebay buying history through the first seven months of 2015 and was surprised to see less than a dozen purchases. Combined with the local trades and purchases, I'm thinking that I've landed only about 20 or so cards for my Linden collection so far this year. Ultimately though, I think this "funk" is more about the lack of excitement towards my player collection. There are very few cards that have got me trul...

The Real DFG: 4/13/14 - 4/20/14
http://dogfacedgremlin.blogspot.com/2014_04_13_archive.html
Sunday, April 13, 2014. I have been moderately active in the hobby blogging community for the last six years now and it never ceases to amaze me the amount of information I learn about this hobby on a daily basis. It could get people to purchase a "high book value" card for pennies on the dollar but also get some cash back into the breakers hands. It makes sense to me. Your card is gone and you made $100-110. What's that you say? Like I said, I'm all for raffling off your cards. Some say it's gamblin...
