Our fundraising and events. On June 3rd, 2012 we were told that Colton’s scans showed no evidence of disease and he wouldn’t need further treatments. It was at this point that we decided to move back to Wisconsin to be closer to family and friends. We arrived back in July and began to settle back into normal life. 2013, Colton was given his angel wings surrounded by family and friends. We carry on his drive to help others through the Foundation that bears his name.

Our fundraising and events. The foundation is named for Colton Steinhorst, who at two and a half years old was diagnosed with stage IV neuroblastoma, a disease that after a two year fight would eventually take his life. Throughout those two years his family received assistance from many organizations and individuals, often total strangers. Colton’s Cure Foundation stands to lighten the financial burden of Wisconsin families who are going through a diagnosis of childhood cancer.

Our fundraising and events. We accomplish our mission in a number of ways, they include:. The foundation collects applications for grants on an ongoing basis. Each month the board selects families to receive financial grants. If a family is not selected in the first month, they receive a gas card as a token of appreciation for taking the time to complete the application. Their application will continue to be considered each month until the family is selected or they have been considered for six months.

Colton's Craziness
Nobody else like him, he's unique - - this one. How fortunate we are that he is our son. Down on the Farm. Last week we took a field trip to Superstition Farm with Kaden's preschool class. I think Colton enjoyed this more than Kaden did. He had so much fun petting animals and letting a baby cow suck on his hand! Colton LOVES to go to Nursery at church on Sunday. He sits in sacrament and says:. Now can I go to nursery and eat cheese balls and color and sing songs and play with toys? He just can't wait!
