Chiles and Chainrings: State Line Shuffle
http://chilesandchainrings.blogspot.com/2011/11/state-line-shuffle.html
Thousands of kilometers of mexican backroads explored by belly and bicycle. Friday, November 11, 2011. It was at the end of our first day that our love affair with burritos began. Having pushed harder than we should have and riding well into the night we arrived to a plate sized burrito stuffed with everything in the kitchen. The burritos that followed were never quite the same, but plenty tasty for different reasons every time. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Bikes On Tour With Us. Come Ride With Us.

Chiles and Chainrings: Espinazo del Diablo
http://chilesandchainrings.blogspot.com/2011/11/espinazo-del-diablo.html
Thousands of kilometers of mexican backroads explored by belly and bicycle. Tuesday, November 15, 2011. Shrimp, shrimp, shrimp, shrimp" so began my mantra after 20 km of being beaten in the face by some seriously nasty headwind on our way into the city of Durango. I couldn't wait to get to Mazatlan and the beach. Ndos Durango that follows this route from Durango to Mazatlan in two days and attracts over 500 riders. Were were doing it in three and it was still plenty tough. November 19, 2011 at 1:38 PM.

Chiles and Chainrings: Guadalupe Saves
http://chilesandchainrings.blogspot.com/2011/09/guadalupe-saves.html
Thousands of kilometers of mexican backroads explored by belly and bicycle. Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Friday" she said and she hung up. I wasn't hopeful. Four days later I made the indicated call to Jesus. This time a different reluctant voice told me that, "nobody knows where Jesus is as he has no fixed schedule". "Does he receive messages and call people back? How many times a day do I see images of Guadalupe, the patron saint of Mexico? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Bikes On Tour With Us.

My little adventures south of the border. Last day on Isla…. One of the best things about working at a university is that you get two paid weeks off over Christmas and you don’t have to use your vacation time. Sweet. Since it’s been a very busy fall semester, I am now finally able to get to a couple final short blog posts on my trip to Isla Mujeres this past summer. They’re just random shots I took in the last couple of days there. I decided to have another beach day on my last full day there. I don’t kn...

My little adventures south of the border. Last Stop – Isla Holbox. The ride was about two hours and we got there five minutes before the ferry was about to leave. It cost 120 pesos and takes 20-30 minutes. I didn’t have time to take pictures in Chequila, but here’s the inside of the ferry. It’s definitely smaller than the ones that go to Isla Mujeres. Unfortunately, it was raining that day. Here’s what the outside looks like as we arrive at Isla Holbox. And the pier…. Pier towards the island…. I don̵...

My little adventures south of the border. Here are just some fun shots with my son’s GoPro camera on my last visit. This will be my last trip to Isla Mujeres. It has become “discovered” by daytrippers and HGTV, and it just isn’t the same to me. Adios, Isla…I will cherish the memories. This entry was posted on January 4, 2015 by EditorDeb. Mammy's Kitchen | where anything can happen and usually does!
March 9, 2017. I rejoined Weight Watchers a month ago and it’s going well. I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve written this post and deleted it because it read so negative. Yes, I’ve been a member about a millionty times before. Yes, in previous attempts, I’ve lost a few stone at a time and let things slip that I’ve put the weight back on. But do you know what? I’m doing it again. I turn 40 this year (*gasp*). And I’m not spending my Forties the same way I spent my Twenties and my Thirties. Recen...

A Modern Twist on Ancient Diet | How to be successful on a Paleo diet, in a modern world
Skip to main content. Skip to secondary content. A Modern Twist on Ancient Diet. How to be successful on a Paleo diet, in a modern world. What could you eat forever? March 8, 2013. Last night I was lazy and just made eggs and bacon for dinner. Like most meals, I really was physically excited to eat because I feel drawn to high-fat foods like a bird is drawn to the tree branch that overhangs your freshly washed car. Do I think its bad for me to crave high-fat foods? So where am I going with this? Now, I h...
