Christmas, New Year’s, all the hustle and bustle and preparation for family gatherings, the worry over falling financially short while trying to buy gifts for your loved ones; it’s a smokers dream! I can’t even get two feet into any mall this time of year before I’m looking for the nearest exit to go outside for a quick fix! Racking up the bills, are we?

Recipes by geeks, for geeks. Oct 11th, 2010 at 11:15 AM. This is amazing. A little time-consuming to make, but worth it at the end. We used turkey Italian sausage instead of the regular pork-based kind, and I also added in some green pepper chunks as well. 2 pounds plum tomatoes, halved lengthwise. 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided. 2 garlic cloves, minced. 8 ounces uncooked ziti. 2 cups fresh broccoli florets. 1 pound Italian sausage links, cut into 1/2-inch slices. 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes.

Making Healthy Taste Good. One Dish at a Time. Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Chicken Sate Lettuce Wraps with Pineapple Jicama Slaw. This recipe gave me a chance to work with a brand new (to me) ingredient. – jicama! Prior to this, my only encounter has been on salad bars where it is typically julienned. It was interesting to see the root vegetable, closely related to the potato in its natural state. I googled how to work with the jicama and it was really quite easy. Adapted from Cara’s Cravings. 3 Meanwhile, wh...

My friend Savanna kindly offered their house which is much better for entertaining than ours and she also made this incredible Superman cake! There were 7 couples including friends from church and Dusty's sisters and their families. Kristy did a pin the "S" on Superman game. You can see how "close" Paisley was the first time. Which resulted in sulking. She got a redo and felt much better about it. We wer...
