Painted ipad Bag – Judy Coates Perez • Creative Alchemist
http://www.judycoatesperez.com/painted-ipad-bag
Judy Coates Perez Creative Alchemist. I decided to sew a simple bag from canvas with a piece of thick wool felt sewn into it as a cushioned liner. I had no intentions of doing anything fancy, just a simple temporary bag that was purely utilitarian. This did the job and suited me just fine… for a few days. But the lure of that blank canvas was too much. I pulled out a few printed tea bags. And matte gel medium and glued a few images down. Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window). Making Felted Pumpkins – Judy Coates Perez • Creative Alchemist
http://www.judycoatesperez.com/making-felted-pumpkins-tutorial
Judy Coates Perez Creative Alchemist. To make felted pumpkins you will need:. Left over yarn, wool works best but other fibers will work too. Orange and green embroidery floss or pearl cotton. You can also make Dia de los Muertos skulls too, by making white felted balls. Cut 2 oval pieces of black felt for eyes, then stitch a nose, mouth and decorative designs like flowers and x’s with colorful embroidery floss. By the way, my favorite source for wool roving is Outback Fibers. October 5, 2011 at 4:07 PM.

Twisted Sister: Those In-between Times
http://www.jamiefingaldesigns.com/2015/07/those-in-between-times.html
Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Even though it looks like nothing has changed, the studio has. This is my view when I walk in the door in the morning, and the last thing I see when I turn off the lights, when I depart. It is truly my inspiration. I feel so blessed to have this dream studio. The rocking chair from my childhood. I was rocked in this chair as a wee child. The upper portion has been painted, and now we are waiting for time to paint the bottom. Or maybe it should just stay white? One of my beloved ol...

Making Black and Bloom all Over – Judy Coates Perez • Creative Alchemist
http://www.judycoatesperez.com/making-black-and-bloom-all-over
Judy Coates Perez Creative Alchemist. Making Black and Bloom all Over. I love getting really focused and tightly rendering a representational image. While painting, but recently I have been trying to get looser and more gestural with my painting, kind of like the direction I take with some of my mixed media work. But pushing it even further. For my latest quilt, which represents my present emotional state of mind, I tried to work more spontaneously without pre-planned imagery. I also used some of my hand...
