Homemade Shampoo and Rinse. I have long curly hair and along with that comes frizz! I try to only use shampoo and conditioner about 2x a week to cut down on the frizz and let the natural oils coat my hair. Lately I have been reading about going No-Poo or no shampoo on blogs like Simple Mom. I have decided to make my own "shampoo", here is the recipe:. Where did I leave off, I hate not using shampoo. Maybe it's just me, but I do not like the oily, frizzy, can't slide your fingers through your hair feeling. Some say I didn't give it enough time. I say the sudsier the better! With my win at Violet Posy I bought Rachel Ashwell's book "Shabby Chic Interiors". I love Rachel Ashwell and all the eye candy she never seems to have an end to. And now for some of my own eye candy that's been keeping me busy over the past year and a half. The ad.d. knitter.

The Difficulty of Doing Less. It seems like it should be easy to do less, but I find it to be pretty hard. It’s so much easier for me to throw out an old pair of shoes or give away a shirt, but to declutter my commitments? That’s not quick and easy. Some of the things I need to do are unavoidable, so my solution is to get them done in the quickest, most effective way possible. Productivity and simplicity often overlap, although they’re not the same. What would happen if we simplified our commitments?

Monday, 14 August 2017. This is a card I made for a friend's grand-daughter and has Whispy, my favourite Saturated Canary image from Krista Smith on it. Whispy was coloured using Promarkers in various shades of jade and sparkle was added to her wings skirt and leg warmers using a stencil cut from another print out of the image and Crafter's Companion spray glitter.
