Cross Countries Kitchen: October 2011
http://crosscountrieskitchen.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Think globally, cook locally! Monday, October 17, 2011. Holy smokes, I finally have something to write about! Last night, I made brinner! I fried up the sausages (brown sugar and honey flavored, YUM) first, then used that grease to fry up the potatoes, then the eggs. Meanwhile, the oven made us some crescent rolls. And then we ate dinner at the table, like civilized people. It was spectacular. Posted by Kat LeBlanc. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Think globally cook locally.

Cross Countries Kitchen: Cast of Characters
http://crosscountrieskitchen.blogspot.com/p/cast-of-characters.html
Think globally, cook locally! These are the faces that accompany the names that feature frequently in my gastronomical escapades. As new names appear, I'll do my best to add new faces. That's Nick, also known as MOTU (Master Of The Universe). He's my husband and the brave soul who's volunteered to taste test all these recipes of unverified origin. Cross Countries Kitchen: April 2011
http://crosscountrieskitchen.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Think globally, cook locally! Sunday, April 10, 2011. With the weather finally warming up a bit, I've started craving veggies like mad. I whipped this up at work.broiled zucchini and portobello mushrooms on panini bread with marscapone and herb salt. Last night's veggies, marinading. All laid out on the grill. So that's about it. We grilled 3 nights this week and it was glorious. God I love spring. Posted by Kat LeBlanc. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Think globally cook locally.

Cross Countries Kitchen: August 2012
http://crosscountrieskitchen.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Think globally, cook locally! Friday, August 24, 2012. Worst Blogger Ever Award Goes to. So to that end, the latest cooking escapade is. Investment cooking. I'll try to make at least one recipe a week an interesting, international one, but no promises. So here's the goals:. The seventh meal will have to be one from scratch. So the loose plan for now is this (I say "loose" to allow for learning and habit forming):. For maintenance weeks, cook/buy the following:. 2 tripled recipes - entrees. Weekdays - eat...

Cross Countries Kitchen: Woah hey, new post!
http://crosscountrieskitchen.blogspot.com/2011/06/woah-hey-new-post.html
Think globally, cook locally! Friday, June 24, 2011. Woah hey, new post! It's not that I haven't been cooking or that I haven't been cooking interesting stuff.it's that I keep forgetting to take pictures (and let's face it, no one really *reads* blogs, it's all about the pictures) and I keep forgetting to post. So here's hoping this is a turning point. For 4th of July this year, the party theme is "put stuff in alcohol that doesn't belong there". What could possibly go wrong, amiright? View my complete p...

http://crosscountrieskitchen.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Think globally, cook locally! Saturday, September 8, 2012. Alright guys, seriously this time. Last 2 weeks I had legitimate excuses.the first week, all I had was a pizza pan. My crock pot lid got shattered. In transit (thank you, TSA) and Nick hadn't arrived with my boxes o' kitchen goodies. Last week, he had arrived (YAY! But the boxes were in the back of the truck and didn't make it out until midweek. The Food Pusher: Chile Colorado Burritos. With any luck it'll look like this:. 6 beef bouillon cubes.

Cross Country Knitting
For Cross Country Knitting, Volume 2, Jen and Kate challenged each other to re-design one of their favourite adult patterns. The aim was to create two classic designs for girls and boys:. The kinds of nostalgic childhood garments that might be made and re-made, worn and re-worn, by several generations. The design challenge resulted in Jen’s Wee Bruton. And Kate’s Wee Bluebells. Both patterns are designed in 7 sizes to fit kids from 1 to 12 years. We invited Rachel Atkinson. Our talented friend Fergus Ford.
