Early up this morning (5:15) – breakfast duty with Amy; so made porridge, put on coffee, set out the makings for packed lunch, then cleaned up. Everything was done by 6:45, and most of the group gone by 7:00, but I decided to stay for a while to appreciate the luxury of lounge chairs and a leisurely read of the daily paper. As I had breakfast duty I left camp late, then stopped off for a coffee before getting going properly. Cycle Jordan Challenge
Friday, 15 October 2010. Over 70 miles, 4,000 calories, 2 counties, and about 30 banannas! On 3 October my training for the Jordan cycle was taken to a whole new level. I was joined by my comrade Chris Lindsay Smith in attempting to complete the Phil Cooke Challenge, a 70 mile cycle across the counties of Northamptonshire and Warwickshire all in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. After a cup of tea, the obligatory 'after shot' on the camera and what seemed a long journey home the day was brought to an end.
