My parents flew down on Wednesday and were in town until this morning for all of the graduation festivities. Yesterday I sat among classmates as we received our diplomas and hoods, moved our tassel from right to left, and recessed out of the church sanctuary as those having mastered all things divine. Churches that I was really excited about because of their ministry and vision, the positions open and the people I had talked to. But I've done it again. So I got pulled over and got a ticket for running a red light tonight. Which, usually, wouldn't make me totally angry- except for the fact that THE LIGHT WAS YELLOW. The reflections of a child of God dancing her way through life. September 11, 2008. I have an official start date. It's October 1st. It's been set for quite a while now and was even officially approved at a meeting a few weeks ago. Though I still wish my start date would have come sooner after graduation, I think it's a good start date. My first Sunday will be October 5th, which is World Communion Sunday. I think that celebration will be a great way to kick off a new season of ministry in the church.
