http://tianarodrigue.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Tiana in Burkina.Faso! Monday, May 11, 2009. The 3/4 way mark. Time for another update (you’re probably saying it’s about time! Sorry, I write novels, so finding the time to sit down and write them out is not as simple. Anyways, since I’ve last updated you, I headed to the Ivory Coast on vacation, moved out (twice), got my moto stolen, and have planned a return to the Coast. Just read on for the details…. Week 27 – Mon, March 14th-Fri, March 20th. Last week before I head off on vacation, woot! Sandra is ...

http://tianarodrigue.blogspot.com/2009/01/holiday-season-is-over-new-year-has.html
Tiana in Burkina.Faso! Monday, January 26, 2009. The holiday season is over, a new year has begun and I’m approaching the midway point of my coop. Here’s a little re-cap on the last month’s worth of events…. Week 16: Mon Dec 29th- Fri, Jan 2nd. We ate lunch then argued with the owner of the encampment as he was charging us more then we had previously been told ($7 per person for a plate of couscous! Man, and a server in Canada gets in shit if they don’t bring out food within 20 minutes of ordering! So as...

a thailand travel blog...: March 2008
http://leslieinthailand.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
A thailand travel blog. Sunday, March 30, 2008. In searching the web for a suitable course, I've learned a few things. 1 Motorcycles have a graduated licensing system in Canada, just like regular drivers licenses. (M1, M2, M). 2 Taking your M1, like your G1 does not require you to do any sort of on the road training, you just get the training book, study, and take the test. 3 To take an M2 training test, you need to have had your M1 for a minimum of 60 days. I can't say I've tried it either, and there's ...

a thailand travel blog...: The Triumphant Return (to Thailand)
http://leslieinthailand.blogspot.com/2009/05/triumphant-return-to-thailand.html
A thailand travel blog. Tuesday, May 5, 2009. The Triumphant Return (to Thailand). From past experience I know that my last week here is going to pass by more quickly than I'd like it to so making the most of things is going to take some planning. I've already scheduled one more thesis research interview for Friday morning and I've emailed 3 other organizations about potentially sitting down with me as well. I'll have frisbee Wednesday and Saturday and a farewell BBQ at Sam's house on Friday night. Anywa...

a thailand travel blog...: summer fun cont'd
http://leslieinthailand.blogspot.com/2009/02/summer-fun-contd.html
A thailand travel blog. Tuesday, February 10, 2009. After much deliberation, loss of sleep, gnashing of teeth, etc. I've decided to stay in Markham for the summer. Alaska looks fantastic, it really does but I think I've just got too much on my plate to orchestrate that kind of a transition at this point. These are a bunch of the cons that tipped the scale. If I'm somewhere remote, food isn't always provided with all of the jobs (and if my experiences last summer working in remote Northern Ontario were an...

http://leslieinthailand.blogspot.com/2009/04/9-days-and-counting-down.html
A thailand travel blog. Thursday, April 16, 2009. 9 Days and counting down. It's begun. My time left in Chiang Mai has reached hitherto unheard of lows and it worries me. I've been researching as hard as I can for my thesis, but none of it first hand as I've been sitting on my hands waiting for ethics review board approval. It came yesterday, but they only approved half the research I wanted to do. How can I compare two sets of data if they'll only let me collect one? In other news, I've finished work (t...

a thailand travel blog...: life is a musical
http://leslieinthailand.blogspot.com/2009/03/life-is-musical.html
A thailand travel blog. Monday, March 9, 2009. Life is a musical. Holy moly am I ever busy. I mean, I know I've been saying I'm busy since I got here, but now I really mean it folks. What have I been up to recently? Lets run down the list. 1 Bangkok Hat Ultimate Frisbee Tournament. We rolled as a unit. Pre-party warm up, Practicing our moves at the hostel. Nobody wants to be the one to pull a muscle 'cause they didn't stretch enough. Bai nai krap (Where are you going)? He asked pleasantly. I wasn't o...
