64 9 357 6366. Approximately 40,000 years ago, Devonport was made up of three islands - Mt Cambria, Mt Victoria and North Head. Successive eruptions created the present shape of Devonports peninsula. Maori arrived in approximately 1350 and landed at what is now called Torpedo Bay. They established pa (fortified villages) and gardens on the volcanic cones. As before we intend to run 5/6 trials through the year and our trial dates will be found in the South Western Centre fixture list with entry forms in the monthly gazette as well as being advertised in TMX and on this website. We included a route for Oset and conducted riders at our event at Moorhaven and whilst the two riders who competed had a really enjoyable ride, we were disappointed there was not more interest.
