January 1, 2011. The holiday season has come and gone once again. I can’t believe 2010 has come to a close and we are entering a new year, it seems like yesterday Spencer and I were bringing home our little bundle of joy. And boy has it been a fun year! As much as I hate to see 2010 behind us I can’t wait to see what 2011 has in store. I hope that each and every one of you had a wonderful and memorable year and I hope that 2011 is even better. January 13, 2011. Hershey’s Take 5 candy bar is one of my all time favorites! 1/2 Cup Dutch Process Cocoa powder. 1 Cup boiling water. 1 1/3 Cup all purpose flour. 2 Teaspoons baking soda. 1/2 Cup unsalted butter, room temperature. 1 Cup granulated white sugar. 2 Teaspoons pure vanilla extract. 1 Cup pretzels, roughly chopped. 1/3 Cup dry roasted peanuts. Preheat oven to 375. In a small bowl stir until smooth the boiling hot water and the cocoa powder. Let cool to room temperature. 1/4 Cup peanut butter.

Saturday, August 30, 2008. So, after the very cinnamon-y coffee cake earlier in the week, I was craving more cinnamon-y goodness. I was looking to make a dessert for poker night and I knew almost all of us liked apple cobbler. So, knowing I wasn't going to have a lot of time for this dessert, I searched for a simple recipe. This. One was not only simple, but really good. It got raves. 5 cups tart apples, peeled, cored, and sliced. 2 tbsp. flour. 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. 1/4 tsp. salt. 1/2 c flour, sifted.

Thursday, October 30, 2008. One of the Dinner Divas. Recipe this month was Rachel Ray's Mexican Lasagna. I didn't have all the right ingredients so I made my own recipe as i went. I used Chicken Breasts rather than Ground Chicken, and i put the tomatoes, beans, corn, and chicken in the crockpot with Seasonings to cook for the day so i would have shredded chicken to put into my lasagna in the evening when i was ready to make it. Thursday, October 30, 2008. I got this idea from clstar. On my cooking site I didnt have the ingredients, so i took the general idea and went with it. I will post my recipe, and the orginal. It was really good though. Great for a chilly day! 1/2lb Beef Stew meat. 2 cans no salt added diced tomatos. 4 Cups pinto, kidney, Black beans (i had some dried beans, it was about 1 cup of each i put in pot to soak). 2 1/2C frozen corn. 15 oz crushed concentrated tomatos. 2 packs taco seasoning. 1 can black beans.
