Saturday, May 30, 2015. Summer Camping Has Begun! The bathroom makes it all worth it (especially for a pregnant lady)! The kids had a blast playing on the playground and in the boats on the lake. After we left Zion's Camp we headed just down the road to Twanah State Park and had lunch and played at the beach for a while. We decided to go to Dungeness Spit to try out our new tent (our old one was almost see-through in places and the poles were taped together). Saturday, March 7, 2015. Theo Chocolate Factory Tour. One of the nice things about being part of a homeschool co-op is that we have to opportunity to attend field trips. Today Abi, Cody and I went to Seattle to tour the Theo Chocolate Factory and see how chocolate is made. It was really interesting! They showed us a real (but very young cocoa tree) and then lots of pictures of the pods (fruit) that grow on the tree trunk because each mature pod can weigh up to FOUR pounds! Monday, August 18, 2014. For my birthday we went camping in Nauvoo. The whole family dressed up like pioneers. Waiting for the Nauvoo brass band to come play. Peter had mixed feelings about his hat. Peter wearing a party hat just before we sang happy birthday to Mommy. Party in the bath tub. Mommy and Mary and Peter at Homer lake. They got to watch the ladder truck extend its latter.
