The Bell Tells Tales!: Doll's Eyes
http://thebelltold.blogspot.com/2015/07/dolls-eyes.html
The Bell Tells Tales! Friday, July 17, 2015. I watched as they razed my village and made slaves of us. From the village elders to my infant cousins…. 8230;the ones they didnt kill. I had many cruel masters. 8230;but none as cruel as the Doll Man and his fat horrible wife. I watched as he marched each of us into his study, never to return. I watched the beautiful yet sad porcelain dolls he put on the shelves in front of our cage. Watching us with their sad black eyes. I watched the house burn. Of course t...

The Text – Fiction. July 31, 2015. February 9, 2016. The beginnings of all things are small (Brigit’s Flame). Constructive criticism is always welcome. You hear the sound of an incoming text message and look down at your phone for no more than 30 seconds, but it’s all that it takes to crash into another car. You see the woman you hit passed out against the steering wheel with blood pouring from her head. The guilt begins to overcome you; how can you make this right? You go on like this for months, the gu...

The Bell Tells Tales!: Rick Copes
http://thebelltold.blogspot.com/2015/08/rick-copes.html
The Bell Tells Tales! Friday, August 7, 2015. This week's episode of The Walking Dead was filmed before a live studio audience. 8220;Dad, wait! 8221; Carl said aloud (with all the charisma and conviction of a doorstop) as he exited the empty prison halls out into the yard. Rick stops raking leaves and empty bullet casings for a moment to turn and address his son. “What is it, Coral? 8221; he says. 8220;Dad. It is T-Dog. He is dead.” Carl replies, wooden. Audience lets out a collective scandalous WOOOOOOO].

We don't just know better; we are better. Your dog isn’t being friendly. He’s an asshole. And so are you. He was just being friendly! Those five words may seem benign, but they actually constitute one of most rage-inducing phrases a dog owner can hear. That’s right, your dog isn’t just being friendly, he’s being an asshole. Here are just a few signs that your dog is a jerk. 1 Your dog routinely lifts other dogs feet off the ground when trying to sniff their derrieres. 8230;and the Bubbles. Mr T is exceed...

The inner voice cannot be heard. Collective conscious void of word. And the Poet – head bent in defeat. Wads of paper about his feet. Tries invoking the witching hour. Sleepless he knows he’s built a tower. A wall surrounding – not of mortar or stone. But of sorrow he bears all alone. Misunderstood, no words to share.

July 11, 2015. October 9, 2015. This is an entry for the July Month-o-Minis contest. At Brigit’s Flame. Constructive criticism is welcomed! I put the car in park and walk up to my childhood home that’s now for sale. The tree in the front calls to me. I stare up at the knothole that I used to think was the gateway to Narnia. It reminds me of To Kill a Mockingbird. I remember the sweet neighbor who gave me this tree, too, and how she was more than a neighbor; she was. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window).

The Bell Tells Tales!: The Burden of Intelligence
http://thebelltold.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-burden-1.html
The Bell Tells Tales! Sunday, August 16, 2015. The Burden of Intelligence. It was the mid morning, around 11:30am, just before lunch, and all the doctors of the Princeton-Plainsboro teaching hospital were busy trying to get to a point in whatever they were doing to be able to take their lunch break. Dr. House, as always, was the exception. 8221; Dr. House asked. 8220;I'm late for lunch. You'll have to ask her”. 8220;Well, do you remember that story a couple years ago about the local boy genius? Sure Who ...
