Love, Lilly xxx: June 2012

Monday, 18 June 2012. Turkey and Anzac Day 2012. Finally, after 2 whole months, i've managed to set out this massively long blog post on our trip to Turkey. I've put a lot of detail in here, mostly for Ben and I to look back upon in years to come. We flew out early Saturday morning to begin a 9-day tour, primarily for the occasion of attending the 97th dawn service at Gallipoli for ANZAC. Day, but also to explore a country that seemed so exotic and different to anywhere else we had been in Europe. Blue M...

Love, Lilly xxx: Greece Part II : {I left my heart on...} NAXOS!
http://lovelillyuk.blogspot.com/2012/10/greece-part-ii-i-left-my-heart-in-naxos.html
Friday, 12 October 2012. Greece Part II : {I left my heart on.} NAXOS! Naxos, oh Naxos. where do I begin? Again, this was a bit of a gamble, coz let's face it, how many of your had actually heard of Naxos? I certainly hadn't, until I read this. Post, and it was because of this post that we decided on Naxos and indeed to stay at Faros. When we did, we had an amazing wood fired pizza (the wood fired oven was literally in the middle of the restaurant, and the pizza was made on dough that was left for all to...

Love, Lilly xxx: September 2010
http://lovelillyuk.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, 30 September 2010. I'm not usually one to brag (well, not too much), but when you get to spend a night with Bill Granger, you can't NOT share the love! There is quite the air of "Bill Mania" in London at the moment - you can't open a magazine or read a blog without seeing his name. And never has it been such a good thing! Bill's latest promo for his new book. It will be straight to Waitrose for me tomorrow stocking up on ingredients. What was left of pudding.yum! Tuesday, 21 September 2010.

Sunday, 3 October 2010. The Damson Gin Story. This time last year I didn't even know what a Damson was.until a chance encounter in the Lake District last Christmas (but that's ANOTHER story.) that changed my view on Gin forever (note - this still doesn't make me a G&T fan). So we did our research and learned that Damsons have a very short season (around 2 weeks in September), which coincidentally is when you should prepare your Damson Gin in time for Christmas celebrations. A little smile on my face.

Love, Lilly xxx: April 2011
http://lovelillyuk.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, 21 April 2011. I have been walking past Hummus Bros. For quite some time now, never quite game enough to venture into the world of a whole bowl full of hummus - BUT, after reading many good reviews of late I decided that it was an appropriately warm sunny day for an adventure! All in all, it was a tasty enough lunch, although i'm sure Ben would probably have enjoyed it much more than me - not to mention that I have no doubt a home-made version would be MUCH nicer. Monday, 18 April 2011. Notes f...

Thursday, 29 September 2011. We finally watched Water for Elephants last night! Have you seen it? Wednesday, 21 September 2011. My year of blogging. Yep, 1 year ago today, I wrote my very first blog post. But mostly, I have been inspired by so many wonderful people all over the world who share their lives with complete strangers (most of who become friends) - from budding bakers, intrepid travellers, first time mum's (of both babies and furbabies! I probably shouldn't mention the amount of hours I spend ...

Love, Lilly xxx: Greece Part III : SANTORINI
http://lovelillyuk.blogspot.com/2012/10/greece-part-iii-santorini.html
Saturday, 13 October 2012. Greece Part III : SANTORINI. I don't have many words for Santorini - mostly because I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with it. I honestly thought that I would fall head over heels in love and it would be THE most amazing place i've ever been - which is partly why we left it until last to visit, however, the reality is quite the opposite - as far as "experience" goes, it's probably the bottom of my Greece list. Whilst it had probably the best view on the island of sunset,...

Wednesday, 5 September 2012. I'm so happy and excited to finally blog about our big news. We're moving home to Australia! The move has been in the pipeline for some time, and for most of you, this is probably not surprising news at all - but let's just make it official. So now, new adventures await! So all that's left to do, (well, in between the logisitcs of packing up our life here and moving across the world! Is lots of daydreaming about all of the things we've missed about Aus the most:. Stepping ove...

Love, Lilly xxx: January 2012
http://lovelillyuk.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, 28 January 2012. I can't believe it's already been two whole weeks since Ben and I celebrated our very first wedding anniversary! We celebrated with a trip to Devon, and most excitingly, an evening at River Cottage. We are both big fans of Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, particularly his Fish Fight. Campaign and his recent Veg. TV series and cookbook. We set off on the 3 hour drive first thing on Friday, with another of Hugh's enterprises, Axminster Canteen. Slow roast flank of beef. We then decid...

Love, Lilly xxx: Greece Part 1 : MYKONOS!
http://lovelillyuk.blogspot.com/2012/10/greece-part-1-mykonos.html
Thursday, 11 October 2012. Greece Part 1 : MYKONOS! Greece, glorious Greece! I had a feeling that I would love Greece, in my head it was already my dream destination from all of my travels. And after having spent 2 weeks soaking up it's beauty, it now holds the firm top spot on my list. Mykonos is a very easy island to get around - hire yourself a quad bike and you're set to explore the little villages and beaches dotted around the island. My favourite was Agrari Beach, it just had a nice feel about ...
