Sew Little Thyme: Pattern Rescue
http://sewlittlethyme.blogspot.com/2008/02/pattern-rescue.html
Wednesday, February 27, 2008. I got my patterns from Pattern Rescue. This circa one is circa 1975 and looks like a newar copy of this spring top from The Gap! Change the sleeves a little and add some buttons down the from seam and some pin tucks, Ta Da! This one is one is also circa 1975, but it looks a lot like this current top from the Gap spring line. The gap top is knit but I think that with just a little tweeking it could be pretty darn close. I really like those patterns! Isn't it funny how old fas...

Mand's Nest: My favourite cook book
http://mandsnest.blogspot.com/2009/09/my-favourite-cook-book.html
Loving Life in the Berra with Lulu and Mimi. Wednesday, September 16, 2009. My favourite cook book. The Moosewood Cookbook is one of my very favourite cookbooks. It was in fact one of the first cookbooks that I ever owned myself. I can't remember who I got my copy of Moosewood from, but it is a much loved book, and one that I often thumb through for inspiration. It was originally published in 1977, but I have the 'revised' edition which Mollie Katzen rewrote in the early '90s with leaner recipes. App...

http://mmmcrafts.blogspot.com/2009/06/basic-messenger-bag.html
Wednesday, June 10, 2009. The basic messenger bag. Jamie's on the left, Chelsea's on the right. This tutorial does not include the flap designs, alas. As promised, here is the basic bag tutorial like the one I made Jamie and Chelsea. I have not included the flap designs, just the basic bag. That will have to be another post. Be creative and come up with your own flap variations. Then show me. Click on the image below to see or print a larger diagram for measurements. This is not. Draw and cut out all you...

JELLYFISH ONLINE: Things I Would Rather Do Than Subject Myself To A Second Viewing Of Baz Luhrmann’s ‘Australia’
http://jellyfishonline.blogspot.com/2009/03/things-i-would-rather-do-than-subject.html
Sunday, March 15, 2009. Things I Would Rather Do Than Subject Myself To A Second Viewing Of Baz Luhrmann’s ‘Australia’. Go to the dentist. Eat a bucket of overcooked broccoli. Fling my naked body into a large clump of stinging nettles. Initiate a conversation with the weirdos who live at Number 1 in my apartment block and are always doing something vaguely creepy when I walk past. Wear dangly gumnut earrings. Utter the words, ‘You know, I think those Scientologists are just misunderstood.’. Always nice t...

Yes, I was -. But I f...

Bitter Betty Blogs: Tutorial Tuesday: Vintage Suitcase into Mobile Studio
http://bitterbettyindustries.blogspot.com/2009/03/tutorial-tuesday-vintage-suitcase-into.html
Tuesday, March 24, 2009. Tutorial Tuesday: Vintage Suitcase into Mobile Studio. Once only a lonely lost piece of lugga g. Now this cutie is full of gift tag and correspondence goodies. I like a good vintage suitcase, but after you aquire 40 or 50 of these little darlings it might begin to occur to you that you can and quite frankly MUST give them a second incarnation of true utility, or buy them their own house or something. While thrifting in my old hometown got a sweet little green case and. 3) Lay out...

Just tutorials: Sew cute bloomers for your baby or toddler
http://cyatutorials.blogspot.com/2009/06/sew-cute-bloomers-for-your-baby-or.html
Tuesday, June 9, 2009. Sew cute bloomers for your baby or toddler. This fun project doesn't require a lot of fabric so you can recycle old t-shirts and tops instead of buying new fabric. The bloomers in the picture are cut in one of my sister's old tops. Use only stretch fabric for this project. For a 3 year old, print the pattern so that the reference line on the right measures 10cm. Scale it up or down for an older or younger child (you won't need to scale it a lot). A: Cut 1 in main fabric. When you'r...
