Why Would I Sleep?: November 2006
http://kdfgirl.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Why Would I Sleep? When there's so much else to do. Wednesday, November 29, 2006. I finally mustered the strength to throw away the Thanksgiving leftovers. The stuffing loses some of its original "oomph" after the sixth reheating. And enough with the cranberries, already. Soup and salad from now til Christmas. Posted by KDF at 1:12 PM. Sunday, November 26, 2006. This morning, Hannah asked me if we could go to the mall and have a Girlie Fun Day. Which involves strolling with our fellow shoppers. But I hav...
Why Would I Sleep?: February 2006
http://kdfgirl.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
Why Would I Sleep? When there's so much else to do. Monday, February 27, 2006. Nostalgia: High School Memories. Your senior year in High School is supposed to be "the best year of your life." How much do you remember? 1 Who was your best friend? Sam, Mark, Dorie and Sue. 2 What was your favorite sport? 400 meters and mile relay. 3 What kind of car did you drive? 4 It's Friday night, where were you? 5 Were you a party animal? Nope - was an athlete (and confirmed nerd). 6 Were you in the "In Crowd"? Boys a...
Why Would I Sleep?: August 2006
http://kdfgirl.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Why Would I Sleep? When there's so much else to do. Monday, August 28, 2006. Please Hold; Regularly Scheduled Blogging Will Resume Shortly. I know, I promised updates on 1) Abby, and 2) The Big Chicken Dinner. Abby's doing fine, though still wearing the splint. She has a nasty, horrible bruise on her left thumb knuckle, and she lost so much skin that my knees buckle a little bit every time I change the bandage. There were, in fact, oodles of noodles. They were good. Posted by KDF at 4:45 PM. We went insi...
Why Would I Sleep?: September 2006
http://kdfgirl.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Why Would I Sleep? When there's so much else to do. Wednesday, September 20, 2006. Topic of Conversation While Driving to Soccer Practice. Overheard while waiting in line at the McDonald's drive-thru:. Hannah's Question for Her Siblings. If you were on a plane filled with snakes, would you jump out of the plane and die, or stay and let the snakes kill you? Disclaimer: No, I have never mentioned Samuel Jackson, and I have no clue why Hannah is thinking about this. Should I be worried? 3) I wipe her face w...
Prose and Potatoes: March 2011
http://proseandpotatoes.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 31, 2011. The Cupboard was Bare. Last week I read Amy Rosenthal's Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life. A raw chicken defrosting for supper that night, a few eggs from the 'girls,' but that was about it. Now the other benefit of letting food stuffs run so low, besides the mental clarity, is the fact that it imposed a forced creativity. That day for lunch I made this rather odd meal:. 5 Tablespoons hazelnut oil. 3 Tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice. Pinch of sea salt. Monday, March 21, 2011.
A Shift In the Wind | Why Would I Sleep?
https://kdfblog.wordpress.com/2011/01/26/a-shift-in-the-wind
Why Would I Sleep? 8230;when there’s so much else to do? Time to Wake Up. A Shift In the Wind. January 26, 2011. So, it turns out that there was a reason my body started craving more sleep. I never in a million years thought this would turn into a cancer blog, although I suppose nobody really sees that one coming. So, we wait. The yellow bracelet on my left wrist inspires me to literally Livestrong, and I am determined to continue that throughout all of this. As Lance’s foundation manifesto. 11 responses...

I'm trying to figure out if the triumph I felt upon successfully fixing a difficult paper jam in the printers warrants the emotions that came with it. I stood up, and wanted to raise my arms and yell "Ta-da! It reminded me of this entry from An Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life. Children get to say ta-da! I finished filling out the insurance application. Ta-da! I made the bed. Ta-da!
Tenuous | Why Would I Sleep?
https://kdfblog.wordpress.com/2011/02/01/tenuous
Why Would I Sleep? 8230;when there’s so much else to do? A Shift In the Wind. February 1, 2011. I am happy to report that I have a strong, healthy heart. Which is good, because my Kryptonian blood. Wants to make it beat really fast, all the time now, so I’m glad I’m built to handle the extra work. My increased pulse is a symptom of myelofibrosis. The line between health and illness is fuzzy and tenuous, far more so than I ever realized. I’m grateful for the fitness I had going into this disease...My hear...
inklings...: January 2008
http://little-inklings.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Musings, meditations, miscellany. Except to say this. Because it is the best treatise on compassion that i know:. You do not have to be good. You do not have to walk on your knees. For a hundred miles through the desert repenting. You only have to let the soft animal of your body. Love what it loves. Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine. Meanwhile the world goes on. Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain. Are moving across the landscapes,. The mountains and the rivers.

THE UNIVERSE IS PRETTY FREAKING WEIRD.
Simply put, this site is just a much-needed organization method for the fictional world I have developed. I hope this random stuff inspires you. Feel free to use this stuff for RPGs or whatever, nothing official, just wuttevvs. Enjoy. Yes, I got most of my images from the web. Sorry if someone else is using these images for a brand, but I don’t make money off this site and anyway, I didn’t use anything from any popular brands (I’m a horrible artist). THE UNIVERSE IS PRETTY FREAKING WEIRD.
