Ethnic Eating: Couscous

http://ethnic-eating.blogspot.com/2007/08/couscous.html

Because We All Love Food! Friday, 10 August 2007. Having been away for a while, you would think that today's post would be nice and chilled. Infact, today's post is a bit of a rant, so bear with me. I am getting a bit fed up of some of the supermarkets and other stores offering poor qualities of ethnic foods. Why do they not get help or advice from people in the know? Why do they continue to impose these absolutely awful concoctions on people which in turn makes people averse to eating ethnic foods?

Ethnic Eating: May 2008

http://ethnic-eating.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html

Because We All Love Food! Friday, 2 May 2008. The creme fraiche just cut through the utter sweetness of the toffee sauce. There was a slight gingerness in the sponge but you hardly noticed. And it was warm, just right. Really wonderful! I then proceeded to have the rarebit. I know I had an upside down meal - dessert and coffee before the main meal. But who cares? Ethnic Eating: April 2008

http://ethnic-eating.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html

Because We All Love Food! Tuesday, 22 April 2008. Whilst we are still on Swedish food, I thought I should share with you another great Swedish meal and my absolute favourite - stekt strömming and potatismos. In English: fried herring with mashed potatoes. Sunday, 20 April 2008. I lived in Sweden for nearly two years and loved it. Of course I didn't like everything about Sweden. For example, I hate that some people who use snus would just spit it out without thinking about it. It's disgusting! I hear you ...

And it was warm, just right. Really wonderful! I then proceeded to have the rarebit. I know I had an upside down meal - dessert and coffee before the main meal. But who cares? SIMPLY AFRICAN: Here's to prove to you that Sierra Leone is a beaut!

http://simplyafrican.blogspot.com/2009/03/heres-to-prove-to-you-that-sierra-leone.html

Monday, 9 March 2009. Here's to prove to you that Sierra Leone is a beaut! That's the Atlantic you can see. Sunset on Lumley Beach. That strip of yellow you can see between the blue and the green is Mama Beach. Did I hear you say unspoilt, deserted. I think Lakka Beach (shown here) is the best beach in Sierra Leone and possibly West Africa. I know about River No. 2 and all that but I won't change my mind. Lakka doesn't have quick sand, so I am sticking to it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Saturday, 21 July 2007. Do you know the difference between bookkeeping and accounting? Do you know what depreciation is? Well if you do the proposition might not look so good for a bank or an investor. Anyway, I'd given up with the whole thing. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Point of This Blog is. SIMPLY AFRICAN: April 2009

http://simplyafrican.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Saturday, 25 April 2009. What Being a Sierra Leonean Really Means. This weekend you will find that there are Sierra Leone Independence Day Celebrations all around the world whereever you find a group of Sierra Leoneans. Sierra Leoneans like to party and don't really need an excuse to do so. 27 April 1961, Sierra Leone won its independence from British colonial rule. I can understand the celebrations in the first two years after we gained independence but what are we celebrating now? Not forgetting that S...

SIMPLY AFRICAN: May 2009

http://simplyafrican.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 20 May 2009. Blood, Sweat and Nonsense from the BBC. This programme failed to educate. What the programme did show us however, was how spoilt and ill-educated British youngsters are. It was sad to see that even the immigrant children had no cultural education, whatsoever. The programme left me with the feeling that I had just wasted one hour of my life which could have been better spent playing Solitaire. Here goes BBC execs:. 1 Poverty is everywhere. By the way, I don't think I can be bothere...

SIMPLY AFRICAN: April 2008

http://simplyafrican.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html

Tuesday, 29 April 2008. The early stages of business can be difficult. I earn a lot less than I would be earning had I stayed in my job as a Senior Scientist for a major pharma. However, there a lots and lots of perks of working for a company I own. I am doing what I love and I am fully motivated to make it successful. Its not about your equal opportunities policy, it is usually the little things that make a big difference. Wednesday, 9 April 2008. The beautiful one has been fired! Not laughing, Amiex.

SIMPLY AFRICAN: November 2009

http://simplyafrican.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Friday, 13 November 2009. Why does everything taste like Freetown supermarket? But then that means that the packaging itself is poor. Is it the heat? All of these places are air conditioned. What is it? Somebody scientific please explain. By the way Freetown Supermarket, we know that you erased the best before date off the big Thousand Island dressing bottles. I do hope no one buys them! SIMPLY AFRICAN: I'm Going Home

http://simplyafrican.blogspot.com/2009/07/im-going-home.html

Thursday, 23 July 2009. It's funny. I was born in England. I have spent more time outside of Sierra Leone than inside, I have only ever carried a British passport (until recently) but I'm going around telling everyone that I'm going home. People understand me. Before I explain, they know what I'm talking about. After all they can see Sierra Leone inside and out. So I'm packing my possessions and I'm buying more. Where am I going to put them all? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). What Did I Miss?

Monday, 9 March 2009. Life Gets in the Way. If you read this blog and were waiting for something to happening last year, I am sorry. Life happened and then I didn't have time to write so much. Well maybe I did have time to write but I didn't have the strength to do so. Anyway, I intend to make an effort this year to post something every week. Here's this week's post. I will continue to update this blog but you won't hear about Simply African for a little while. Sorry. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
