And also weirdly of the teacher in the Magic School Bus children's books? I like reading details of alterations ...

Nicole Needles - Adventures in Sewing. Monday, 30 March 2015. Cats with Mustard - Mmmm! Today you get a 2-for-1 post! I know blog posts have been a bit slow from Needles HQ recently, but it's not for lack of any production, just life getting in the way. Anyway, today I present to you the Disdainful Cats skirt with a hand knitted 1960's tie-neck sweater:. Let's start with the skirt - it's basically the same design as the one I used for my December Minerva project. Close up of back frill. Detail of the hem.

Thursday, 20 June 2013. Spring Sewing Swap 2013. Who doesn't love getting presents in the post? I know I do. So when I saw that Kerry from Kestrel Makes. Was organising a sewing swap I knew I had to take part. Basically how it worked was that Kerry paired everyone up and then we had to check out our partner's blogs and spend up to £15 on sewing goodies for them that we thought they would like. I was paired with Kerry herself - talk about pressure! I'm not great with birds! Thanks Kerry, both from organis...
